I highly value single player in my games. Not everyone does and them enjoying that is fine with me. It'd be a boring world after all if we all like the same thing.

I usually prefer single player. I'm more apt to spend hours in single player in games such as Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, G.T.A.5, etc.. In fact, if Fallout 4 ever releases I doubt there will be much time spent on these forums. Lol.

It would be boring if everyone liked the same thing. I guess my point would be...how can you rate Titanfall low on replay value because of no single player, when it was never offered? People that bought the game knew it was a online only shooter. You never
bought it because of this, but then again, you wouldn't have rated low on replay value because it had "no play value" to your needs/wants in a game? To me it would be like rating Fallout 3 low on replay value because it had no multi-player. It wasn't how either
game was advertised or intended.

Lack of single player means it has low replay value for ME. I don't claim to speak for others.

Sometimes I feel so anti-social after a day dealing with the public that I'd find myself banned from a game if I played online.

To some adding multiplayer to Fallout 3 would add replay value. In fact there are mods in the work trying to add such a feature. A successful mod on the same wave-length is the multiplayer mod for Just Cause 2.

Lol. I can understand that.

Don't know if I would like a multi-player in a game like Fallout. I do think a co-op with one other person might be a novel idea; that is if it's done right.

Not a secret but still a fair comment I thought.

I would have bought Titanfall if it had a single player campaign. It didn't and so I didn't. To me it lost even a single play value.

I'm not a big fan of Titan Fall but since when did a SP add replay? The author implies TF not having a SP cuts replay?! Where do these idiots come from...

game.

Just like watching a favourite movie again or rereading a favourite book, some people like experiencing the story of a game again.

So just like not having multiplayer can cut replay value, so can not having single player.

I am not sure why people even gives Forbes clicks.

Forbes got a lot of attention from some in the video game community for being perhaps the only site that bothered to look into why people were complaining about the ending to Mass Effect
3, rather than just writing those folk off as entitled whiners.

A little support can go a long way.

So Forbes articles are made for what demographic? there's 2 let downs for me, Halo MCC and destiny. Thief was excellent, Unity bought AC back to where it was good and produced an awesome game, Titanfall is a bit basic but it's hard to deny the fun it provides,
Driveclub imo is the best racer for years though I haven't played horizon 2 yet, Dark souls 2 though brilliant is only judged against Dark and demons and since there's no easy glitch you actually need skill to play it, haven't played LOTF or ESO, watch dogs
was ok imo though I didn't read the hype.

I read Forbe articles quite often. It's a decent magazine.

An article about hype vs reality would be more accurate.

Most of these games delivered what was advertised.

So yes,Watchdogs was supposed to have better visuals,Halo MCC multiplayer isn't perfect,AC unity got some issues...

But for games like Destiny or Titanfall ,there are no surprises (or disapointment).

Never heard Respawn saying that Titanfall will have a solo campaign or tons of game modes.But it got several free updates (seems this "journalist" forgot that).

And Destiny is just what it was supposed to be and was shown during beta test.
