The many benefits of BC on the XB1

A lot of Xbox 360 best sellers will probably make the list. I am hoping some of my old digital games make the list. If any favourite games that I had originally as retail I may buy the digital versions

Okay, so again, some of you may already know this, but I just realized that while playing Mass Effect on my XB1 console through the new BC function, that there is still yet ANOTHER benefit: you can leave your game and then come back, as if it were an XB1
game. You couldn't do that on the Xbox 360 console.

So, yeah, I'd say MS is doing nearly everything right in regards to BC this time around.

^^ So basically they are using v-sync in all games and it eliminates screen tearing but all games tested suffer worse frame rate issues than the 360 even simple games like N+. Seems like they have a bit of work to do.

Playing Mass Effect on the Xbox One right now, I don't mind that there are some issues. Hope it improves over the coming months . Can't wait to see what games they'll support at the end of this year.

The only place I've seen performance issues in Mass Effect is where there were performance issues when running on a real 360.

For instance the frame rate when taking out the thugs in the Wards Med-Clinic chugs as badly as it ever did.

Tbh, Euro Gamer has been heavily PS4 bias for some time, and the comments sections are often flooded with ps fanboys, so I personally take what they say with a pinch of salt. They tend to make minor issue look huge.

I'm confident that the list of games will be rather long come December. Unless the devs are working on a HD/definitive/remakejustbecauseofmoneylol version of a game, there's no reason not to opt in. Lots of potential for added sales from those whose first
console or first Xbox console is One and they'd love to experience the older games as well.

^ It's a Gamecube title with pre-Halo FPS mechanics.

If you're willing to overlook that, the game is good. It won't overtake the original Perfect Dark, but it was a solid attempt.

I'll take a guess that Crackdown and Crackdown 2 might make an appearance, or other games that are part of a series. Wouldn't it be in the developers best interest to think about BC with future games from the same series? Maybe the older COD games since
the servers are still popular back to Modern Warfare.

MS seem to be getting more popular doing things they said they never would,,,,
