Discus and support The Long Dark won't launch in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; The game won't get past the first title screen. I just downloaded it and haven't played yet.     The game won't get past the first title screen. I just downloaded it and haven't played yet. Tried everything except downloading again but just about to try that too.

    Won't launch?

    My minecraft (on another friend's account) stopped working so I deleted then redownloaded it and when I try to launch it I get the error code 0x00000005. Any resolutions? Nothing I'm doing seems to work

    The Long Dark won't launch

    Hi. Please press and hold the power button on your console for 10 seconds to do a hard reset. Turn the console on and try again.

    If that didn't work please navigate to the game under my games and apps and press the menu button and scroll down to saved data and select to delete all locally saved data. Your saved data will sync from the cloud once you open the game again

    Since you have already played the game and because of the error code, I assume that there is no problem with your account.

    But it could still be that the net is just too slow. Perhaps the server that is relavante for the game is too far away, so changing the DNS server can also help to fix connection problems. But also try to connect via cable (often an extrem boost)

    We thank you for bringing this inquiry to our forums community, and understand that this concerns an inability to launch and play The Long Dark on your Xbox One console.

    If the problem persists, try doing a soft factory reset of the console,
    reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

    Try this out for us and then let us know the results.
