The LEGO movie game unrecognizable disc

Hi all,

So I bought a copy of the LEGO movie videogame and my 360 doesn't seem to be able to recognize the disc. Impatiently, I bought a new copy of the same game, but the same problem occured. My console plays any other game without any issues though. I tried cleaning
the discs and blowing compressed air into the xbox, but nothing changed. Putting the console in different positions (ie vertically / horizontally) hasn't worked either. Googling about this problem hasn't helped, so I figured I'd ask directly on these forums.
Both products are PAL, there should be enough space on the hard drive, et cetera. Does anyone know how to fix this or where to start looking for an answer?

Unrecognizable Disc

Getting this message when I load up my Battlefield 3. Every other game works fine. Had BF3 since the day it came out and never had a problem till now. I've tried everything,used a lens cleaner, restarted the xbox, nothing works. Any ideas what to do?

Hey there Sea! Is this happening with every disc you use, or just certain ones? Which ones are not working? Do these same discs work in other consoles properly? Let me know, thanks!

 

Sorry to hear it. Fist off, you should never blow compressed air into the console. This will only blow any dust around the inside and can serve to do more harm than good.

Now, as for the disc issue, how old is your console? Is it the older FAT model or the new S or E? Age can play a part in how newer games work.

I see. Thanks for posting back. I think the issue here is going to be that the disc drive is well on it's way to dying.

As the console is the older FAT model an option for repair is no longer available as Xbox no longer supports those consoles for repair.

What I recommend is to purchase a newer S or E model with hard drive and an official Xbox Transfer Kit to transfer your games and data over to the new console.
