Kinect was, is, and will always be an added gimmick to gaming. Enjoy!

 

Microsoft please do not offer a cheaper kinectless SKU(hear me out)

1. I don't care about the Kinect, we tried it on the Xbox 360 and it sucked.

2. They will never make good Kinect games, EVER. Kinect games will always be casual kiddie games and never hardcore games.

3. Kinect games will ALWAYS involve you standing in one place while waving your arms and legs about. People say that the Kinect 2.0 is more advanced, so yeah you will be waving your arms and legs around while standing in one stop in a more advanced way...
But it is still the same at the end of the day.

4. The ONLY part of the Kinect that could improve games is the voice recognition. The motion sensor is a HUGE fail, it has been failing since the 80's.

5. The Kinect is a gimmick and will always be a gimmick. The Wii and PlayStation are moving away from the motion sensor because they know it's a gimmick and see that the customers also recognize it as a gimmick.

I AGREE!!! Don't expect people at Xbox.com to support anything anti-Xbox. They're mostly a bunch of Microsoft lackeys and every Xbox console is perfect to them. That type of attitude isn't helping Microsoft construct the proper gaming machine, it's just
validating their poor decisions thus far.

The Kinect should NOT have been the focus of the Xbox One. It's most useful features are SOME voice commands and those could've been built right into the system UI without the Kinect. Motion games are a joke! Nobody wants them, nobody likes them. So why
would MS design an entire console around them?

My guess is that Don Mattrick is the one who did this. He made a huge mess of the console before he left. The first Kinect was terrible and most people that bought it, myself included, threw it in the closet a month later. It was so bad that MS had to flat-out
LIE about the Kinect 2.0's technology. They made it out to work much, MUCH differently than it does in reality. If I was a lawyer, I'd sue them for false advertising. Because that's exactly what it was. The Xbox One's two biggest features, that the entire
system was designed around, are flops... the Kinect and tv functionality. To be fair, my tv functionality has gotten more stable since the recent update, but at first I couldn't even use my dvr through the XB1.

How are you gonna release a console and the two biggest defining features don't work for 80% of consumers?!!

Albert Panello, director of product dev, should be fired. He doesn't think 1080p/60fps is a big deal? It should be a STANDARD function for a next gen console. The fact that the Kinect has to have a big chunk of gpu reserved for games that don't even use
it, but devs don't have enough power to make their games run the same way they would on a 4yr old smartphone.

PATHETIC!!! And anyone not bringing and KEEPING these issues front & center with MS are doing themselves and all XB1 owners a disservice. Stop being a fanboy and help them get things back on track, because just agreeing with everything they do isn't helping.

OK guys seriously... some do not like the Kinect... we get that,,, but why must you make it known on every thread that even mentions the kinect... it is the same BS said day after day from the same people... ITS GIMMICK.. OK WE GET IT.. you do not like it...
now move on... go away.. go outside...do something other than visit these forums looking for an argument...In the 2 years I have been coming here.. I have not seen ONE of you guys who are anti -kinect make one post or contribute to a thread in a positive manner...
