    The IOS minecraft apps are not allowing multiplayer


    First the versions ade the same 1.16.201

    they are ‘favourites’ as friends

    they are connected to the same wifi.

    they are in the same room as each other.

    but we get the ‘unable to conncet’ error message all the time.

    This is for my 3 kids to play together. Sometimes one will be able to connect to the multiplayer, but not 3 of them. But they seem to be constantly kicked out and error re-entering.

    Mojang has offered a workaround that may work for people who are interested in playing Minecraft on their iOS device. To try this fix, do the following:

    1. Close Minecraft on your iOS device. This means fully closing out of the game by opening the multitasking menu and swiping up on Minecraft.
    2. Open the Xbox app on your iOS device. You can download the app here if you don't already have it installed.
    3. Tap on the hamburger menu.
    4. Navigate to Settings.
    5. Tap sign-out to sign-out from Xbox Live.
    6. Close the Xbox app on your iOS device. You can fully close out of the app by opening the multitasking menu and swiping up on the Xbox app.
    7. Open the Xbox app and follow the guidance to sign back into Xbox Live.
    8. Launch Minecraft.
    9. Attempt to sign in with your Microsoft Account again.

    Please, let us review if all these options are enabled:

    Using the Xbox Family Settings app on your mobile device, enable Multiplayer for Minecraft.

    In the Xbox Family Settings app:

    Go to Settings > In Enable Minecraft > Select Allow this game.

    Turn on Multiplayer to let a member play online with others

    Enable Clubs so that a member can create and join Minecraft Realms servers.

    You can enable the multiplayer for Minecraft from the Xbox Family Settings app on your mobile device.

    To download the Family App: https://www.xbox.com/apps/family-settings-app

    Click on the Account Name > Settings (The cog on the top right) > Multiplayer > Allow

    Then, on the same window, under Cross-play:

    Allow Crossplay

    Allow Communication with Friends

    On the bottom of the page, Clubs > Allow (For Minecraft Realms).
