The installation does not stop

Hello.

I have a strange problem with the installation of
an update (or something else) for Halo
5.

The downloading has now exceeded 100% and it is
now almost 180% ...

This is probably a display error but
it's downright disturbing.

Sorry to hear you're having Difficulties installing, Do you have an internal and External HDD?

I'm only asking as I had the exact same problem when I tried re-installing after I bought an external har drive

if so set your internal HDD as the default drive for new to do this go to settings ->console -> Manage storage then set <internal hddname> as default install and hopefully this should work

 

Sorry to hear you're having issues. This has happened to some people in the past and is simply a glitch. Please let the download continue until complete.

 

sorry but the problem persists and does not seem to resolve itself ..

I paused the Halo 5 update at 265% because it was using me all my connection.

But last night, is Destiny who woke up .. and it's almost 300% today!

There, I just launched an update to a game I really use this times, and I hope it will end at 100% and not beyond...

 

For a while there was an issue with the actual number being displayed in that for certain games it would reach numbers as high as 600% - it's not downloading extra data, it's just that the counter is doing its maths wrong and so the progress bar exceeds
values of 100%.

You should go to Settings>System and see if there's an update available; if so, this will likely fix your issue. Alternatively, try power cycling the console (support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console)
and see if that helps restore the values to sub-100.

Otherwise, just continue downloading, there should be no harm in it, it's the counter malfunctioning and not extra data being unnecessarily downloaded.

- My last update (TESO) is done at 100%. (OK!)

- Halo is paused (at 261%)

- And Destiny... still downloading... 2408%...

I have already tried the power cycling, and no update available.

I believe these are not updates because it's too long.. and TESO had really an update and all is ok for this game. My connection seems still react to these downloads, but in fact, there is no extra data apparently.

If it can help to find the problem : I launche Destiny, and the game said "Transfert des données du jeu... 6%"

And for Halo : Une erreur de mise jour est survenue. Halo 5 : Guardians requiert une mise jour, mais un problème est survenu. Pour obtenir de l'aide, rendez-vous sur Xbox.com/xboxone/update/help." (and the page does not existe..)

 

Okay, thanks for the additional information.

Did you try looking for a system update as suggested in my previous post? I just want to rule that out.

Also, can you try power cycling (support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console) your console to see if that helps?

There is no update available for the xbox one.

I rebooted several times the xbox (10 seconds pressed on the power button) but nothing. Now : 10'857% for Destiny and Assassin's Creed is added to the party... ...155% for Syndicate...

...help me...

 

Are these disc games?

If so:

For Assassin's Creed Syndicate, uninstall the game completely; now go to Settings>Network and hit Go Offline. Insert the disc and install the game, this should be relatively fast as it's only installing content from the disc. Now go back online and try opening
AC Syndicate, which should trigger a title update. Accept it and now see if the download is any better by letting complete.

Sadly, Halo, Destiny and Assassin's creed are dematerialized.

 

What do you mean by "dematerialised"?

 

Sorry, i mean they are purchased from the online store. No physical game.

 

No worries. Go to My Games & Apps and scroll right until you see Ready to Download. You'll be able to redownload the games from there.
