The one thing that really makes me second guess getting the xbox one over the ps4. Installs SHOULD NOT take 5+ hours.

I tried the sticky process of installing offline (hardline)......not luck, it just shows a "you're offline" message.

I was under the assumption that selecting the install from smart glass would install the game. No....it just placed it in the queue. And even more mystifying, it says "start now" while half way through the process, yet when you do it only shows the first menu,
than says to wait until the install is finished. Why even offer that option???????

Seriously, it's bad enough that downloads take forever, but now the install process does as well. What a total cluster f(*&.

Hi, I'm a new guy who just get xbox one. May I ask what's the minimum bandwidth requirement for Xbox one? Could any one share the install steps?

There are many things that can cause a slow install or download speed, like network connections, available space, corrupt cache, or hardware failures.

Both systems take about the same about of time to install the games onto the system. This relies on the system as well as the developer of the game being installed and how optimized it is.

Thanks for the link, but I was referencing the sticky in my original message. That does absolutely zero for download copies, only installing from disc.

No one noted my question regarding Smart Glass. It should have installed once I selected the file, but it merely placed it in a queue. It only starts to download once I actually turn the system on (which is set to quick boot).

diagoro - Sorry to hear about that. Can you send me a few details to help us investigate your issue further?

- Date of the install (I assume this was 2/4 or 2/5)

- Game you were installing

- How were you connected (wifi or wired)?

- What is your expected download speed from your ISP?

- What does Settings->Network->Detailed Network Statistics show?

Thank you for trying. Let's reinstall the Gaming Services app on your Windows device:
Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.

In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
Restart your device.

Don't forget to check for Windows updates and get all available updates from the Microsoft Store.

If the above solutions don't work, try to run the system file checker, clear the Store cache and reset/repair both Xbox app & Microsoft Store.

Clear Microsoft Store cache: Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe, and then select OK.

Hi Rostom,

Thanks for the advice! I was trying to install the game from the xbox app. Unfortunately the advice you gave did not fix the problem as it is not installing still. It also shows that it is queued while there is nothing else downloading.

Hi there!

Where exactly do you see the game installing? From Microsoft Store app or Xbox app?

Try to simply enable airplane mode then wait at least a minute before disabling it back and connect to your network.

Don't forget to try to shutdown your PC and then turn on.
