    The Infamous Strict NAT


    I have Strict NAT on my Xbox One in which is preventing me from joining almost all servers on the game ARK: Survival Evolved (On windows 10 aswell).

    Now I have attempted to port forward with it not fixing anything, I have also put my Internal IP into the DMZ which still did nothing, I also have factory reseted my router which you guessed it, did nothing.

    I am at a loss on what I should do because this problem used to not exist for me until recently (when I started playing xbox again).

    For my internet I use it Wirelessly for my Xbox and wired for my PC which is also having the same problem with the same game on cross-play, my router is called gotW3 if that's significant

    I have this problem once in a while. To solve, I turn off the modem and router for a few minutes, I call again and do the hard reset procedure on the console. Most of the time it solves the situation.

    Sometimes, with the xbox one x, a reset of the router and game console can resolve some NAT issues. For more server reliant games, Hard wire can be the best solution.
