The "I got my Destiny early" Thread

How come? Xbox One and Destiny aren't region locked. I changed my console location to NZ and it shows that Destiny will launch at 12.01 am NZST time, that's in 5 hours.

 

Check here...follow the link where this has been asked, it appears that it is something to do with your ip address, and that the package/Digital copy maybe region locked to the UK

I have seen several people playing Destiny right now. They are either from Europe on the United States.

 

The servers are up now.

If you have a disc copy you are able to play now.

I am going to go bed when I get home, so I can get up at midnight and have a sesh before work

 

I am not sure you will be able to play it, even if you have the disk, I am in the UK, and my location is set at present to the US, and the time, which you can't change is set to UK time and date.

So I would assume even after installing the game you won't be able to play the game, but good luck to the people that can.

Digital Copy offers offers me more benefits than the disks so I have to wait for the time to tick over. Then I need the misses to let me play after midnight since I have to be up early.

 

People have been playing since Noon on Monday when they turned the Servers on.

So what time did this come out in the store uk time was it midnight?

after knowing so i know if i should buy fifa 15 from the store

 

Just to let you know, the time (for destiny at least) is also dependent on the version you buy if you buy digital, so if you buy the US digital copy, it seemed to only work when the US time becomes active.
