2. Why does it have a minimum size?

Does it use up a big chunk of that straight away?

Not that I know of no. So why does it have to be 256GB? My guess is that if it were any lower it would be quite useless for the Xbox One to use. At the moment the Xbox One does not support external video playback, so the only thing an external hard drive
can be used for is downloaded content and installations of Xbox One games from disc. And, since most Xbox One games are 30GB+, it would be a bit pointless to allow small drives. That may change in the future though.

Again, such passion from a Zen like member......

This ambassador does NOT speak for me......

Freedom of speech is NOT a factor on an internet forum. Try posting a dirty word :)

You are NOT forced to steam over the cloud. poor conectivity is NOT the fault of MS..... I also thought external drives were not supported yet for the ONE.......
First off I hope people STILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH.....O.K.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to
petition the Government for a redress of grievances". Considering the fact that Xbox Live isn't Congress kinda negates those rights somewhat. Basically, the government can't censor what you say (although, they do), but a company or an individual can.

The main problem with forcing us to stream over the cloud is that not everyone has a fast enough Internet service to do that.

I will point out that you do, in fact have potentially unlimited hard drive space on the Xbox One. You are able to plug in a USB 3.0 external drive to the console, giving you whatever capacity that hard drive is (ie, I have a
3Tb external hard drive on my Xbox One). Unlike the 360, which only limits you to 32Gb of external data.

Your contempt for the Xbox One because of the lack of data storage is baseless.

The first 360`s had less than 20gb usable space, didn`t they?

No doubt as each version is released the space will double.

By the time the slim arrives they will have more than enough storage space, with added external space too.

EDIT: Aren`t you the guy that is addicted to buying downloaded games and never even playing them?

With your addiction no amount of space will ever be enough.

This is the 360 section....

Thanks for your opinion though.

Remember, at one pont the 360 would never have more than a 100GB Hdd....

Much like the 500GB limit now. You must be silly to think it's not going to change........
