    The Hunt Continues....


    What's wrong with yearly releases? If people continue to play the games. of course they'll be releasing newer games for their cash cow. No one is making you buy the yearly releases. There's still a lot of diehard fans for AC and CoD. If Halo ever became
    a yearly series, I'm guessing you would sway from being a Halo fanboy? Since it turned into a "yearly release". Just buy them every once in a while or every year if you love the series.

    I see your point Defy. I just don't agree with you or yearly cash grabs.

    Like I said, if they do it differently. Like release Halo 5, then a top down shooter, then the following year release Halo Wars 2. Then a spin off then Halo 6 that is fine.

    But if they go Halo 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. That is foul. And no amount of time in between will allow me to play those games.

    Hello "Jelhunted" The Hunt Continues.... :)

    I wasn't aware that the Halo games will now follow the steps of Call Of Duty and Smackdown vs Raw (now WWE 2k??) series.

    If this is actually going to happend, then all I have to say is this...

    R.I.P Halo franchise, I will miss you The Hunt Continues.... :(

    With that being said, the one thing that made the Halo franchise so awesome is the fact that each game was spaced at least 3 years apart. So the hype for the next game built up at the climax of the previously released one.

    I agree ^. Allow us to miss the game. Microsoft and the Xbox brand has taken care of Halo and released games properly. Yearly releases are not needed in the Halo Universe. Every other year would be fine.

    The thing is, both of you, @Nxt and @Lei, seem to not have realized that this isn't a big gamechanger or anything. Infact, it's just continuing what has already been happening for a while. There has been a Halo game released every year since 2007.

    2007 - Halo 3

    2008 - Halo Wars

    2009 - Halo 3: ODST

    2010 - Halo: Reach

    2011 - Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary

    2012 - Halo 4

    2013 - Halo: Spartan Assault

    2014 - Halo: The Master Chief Collection

    2015 - Halo: Spartan Strike

    So, really, this isn't a huge change or anything.

    And that formula is absolutely fine. As I said before. So long as it is not Halo 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9.

    I see that point for sure. But god, we really don't need to over saturate the market with all of these Halo titles. *Sigh*. I like it when games allow us to miss and want them. Games like Splinter Cell, Hitman, Fable, and so on. Releasing a game once
    a year is awful.

    Perhaps 343i will do it justice and right.

    Unlike Ubisoft with Assassin's Creed, and Activision and Call of Duty

    I'm pretty sure I'm not. But, a Halo title wouldn't necessarily be a full-blown shooter or RTS game. Halo: Spartan Assault and Halo: Spartan Strike are both valid Halo titles, but not in the same league as, say, Reach, or Halo 5.
