    The headset static is back.

Having being fixed a month or two ago I thought the headset static was gone for good but I was wrong. It's back again, constant static whenever other audio is playing. This is the Official Xbox One Stero Headset with a fully charged controller, I've tried
another controller, both with the most recent controller patch, I've tried with it connected to the Xbox One by charger cable, I've removed and re-added the headset adapter, all of it. The static makes playing games a annoyance.

    :)

Chat headset (Both stereo and original) mics not working, give out static

My chat headset mics provide static to those within my party and when i remove the headsets, i receive static through my tv. I cannot hear the static that the party chat members tell me about and they do not hear the static from my tv. Ive tried switching
controllers with headsets and vice versa, with no success. I have cleaned the ports, updated controllers, power cycled Xbox, plugged and unplugged from controller, changed batteries, bought batteries, recharged batteries, made sure nat is open, cleared mac
    address, to no avail.

I do know that there are times when i hold the headset cable in a certain manner or when i hold the headset adapter in a certain manner, the static goes away. On both controllers this happens. When I move my hands around with the controller the static comes
back and the light next to my name showing that the mic is functioning stays on until the static clears out again. then, the mic tends to stop working. when i move the adapter around while attached, the mic give static as feedback to those in the party chat.
Again, what i am describing happens on BOTH controllers with BOTH headsets. Is my XBOX possessed?

Please, any help with this is much appreciated.

    Elite controller and static

I bought an Elite controller and since I using it I have experienced static when using my Turtle Beach XO headset. I contacted Turtle Beach and they were unable to find anything wrong with my headset. When plugging in the headset directly to the Elite
controller I get no static. When I plug in my XO headset and module into my old controller I don't have static. But if I connect my XO headset and module into my Elite controller I get static. Any suggestions?

    The headset static is back.

I am using a set of headphones connected to my TV at the moment as I feel that the idea of connecting your headphones to your controller was a poor decision by Microsoft.

Same problem here!!! I was SO stoked when they fixed it with the April or March update (can't remember which one, the one that addressed the IR problems with connectivity to the headset) - it was working perfectly then BOOM!! the **** is back - and worse
    than ever!!

It's a more constant clicking sound now too, less static like, more clicking - so bad!! I'm also using the official Xbox One headset ; at least we know it's software though, I returned 3 headsets to Mighty Ape because of this before I realised it was softwares
    issue.

Can someone from Xbox address when this will be patched AGAIN.

I'm the biggest Xbox fan out, but now I'm starting to see why the world is going PS4......

My Xbox One Stereo Headset had the microphone and one of the ear pieces die. I'm currently in the process of sending it in for repair. I never had any static, though.

    The headset static is back.

I thought it might of been an issue with the controller connected to the charge kit, but since it does it connected or not connected it ruled it out. So I edited my post The headset static is back. :)

Lols, sorry - didn't see the edit - anyone have word on when the connectivity that has been re-stuffed by this update is getting patched, hopefully it's in the July update...this is just mental.

Like Don Corleone, just when I thought it was fixed, they pull the static back in.....

Weird, I'm getting no static or clicking, wonder if it's purely related to the official headset because I'm using my old X41's and it's perfect.

i had loads of static so i i resoldered about an inch of the cable from inside the jack out and it stopped doing it, my mates having the same problem, he cant even talk down his headset without having to faff about with the cable.

If its software guess a fair few are waiting on a patch but in my case it seems the wire wasnt as durable as i thought and it must have broke somewhere between the circuit board and the 10mm of cable right near the block

Mine is definitely the same static as before the April fix (which had a deditcated headset fix for 'connectivity issues' which fixed it perfectly).

I had a flawless couple of months, then this newest update is the one that has made it go back to how it was, but even a bit worse.

Something in the new audio settings/changes to the machine has reversed or created a new problem - the static is bad when on the dashboard (mad static between each tile) and on all title screens and menus in games (Titanfall is especially bad) with some
in-game static/distortion as well (the same as before the April 'fix'). Microsoft , any word?
