The "HDMI Out" port on my XBox One is broken. How can I get this fixed?

I found the error - the HDMI I was not switching out was receiver to TV. It's the one that was broken - I don't know how but switching the HDMI from receiver to TV fixed my issues.

the HDMI in is meant for video to go in that can be passed via the console to the TV/Monitor via the HDMI Out port, the HDMI in port can not functions as a HDMI Out.

It sounds like that you may have to send the console in for repair to get the HDMI out port fixed

all I need as of this moment is a cord/converter set up with one end being an HDMI plug and the other end being the plug that goes into the av port, ( which is above the HDMI port) on an Xbox 360 (the port is shaped like a long strip).

the reason I need this is because, the HDMI port on my Xbox is broken and the only other port that I can use to connect it to a tv is an av port, but I have heard that display with av is not as good that with HDMI.

I'm having similar issues, while I get a picture, unless the hdmi cable is seated just right (in the loose hdmi port) I can't change the channels with either the controller or my voice (kinect), it'll recognize my command, but can't send the command, also,
the sound is now jacked up, sounds like a coiling robotic whiny underlying reverb on everything. This is my 3rd replacement Xbox One with loose HDMI ports. See my discovery and diagnosis of the problem:

Or search "URGENT: Bad HDMI ports..." in this forum. It's not rocket science, just a poorly designed or cheap easily broken HDMI port, and by easily broken I mean; by just plugging it in (no matter how gently you try) you break it if it's not already broken.

How the Xbox One works with being able to control the TV is that the Xbox One has a HDMI In port and a HDMI Out port. If a person had a cable set-top box, they would take the HDMI cable from that and plug it into the HDMI In port on the Xbox One, and then
connect an HDMI cable to the HDMI Out port and connect that to the TV.



In your case, I think it could only work if your TV had both a HDMI Out port and a HDMI In port. If this is the case, which I don't ever think I've heard of a thing for just a TV (I guess it could be possible), then you would go from the TV's HDMI Out port
to the Xbox One's HDMI In port and from the Xbox One's HDMI Out port to the TV's HDMI In port.
