The Great HALO Robbery

There's a special on "HALO 5". You can get the Deluxe Edition for a reduced price or the stand alone game for an even lower one.

On the surface this looks like a great deal but...

What are these extra "Warzone", "Arena" and "Spartan Armory" REQ packs at £20.00 a pop?

Do you not get "Warzone", which I understand to be a mix of MP and Bot play, with the standard edition of HALO?

What is "Arena" and "Spartan Armory"?

Are the base games incomplete or are these "REQ" packs simply Pay 2 Win DLC?

Can someone explain this to me please?

Yup. Just card packs Az. They contain xp boosts, armour and that sort of thing.

 

Yeah, any n all REQ packs can usually be obtained by playing the game. Maybe purchasing it makes it early, but unless you are at the LVL for a card, you cannot use it...as far as I know. Maps I can't say. Dunt buy em...so 20.00$ I dunno...

Why would I be embarassed about asking an XBox related question I don't know the answer to on the Official XBox Forums?

This current generation has brought in a lot of questionable practices on the part of Publishers attempting to get people to pay for their games twice over so I don't want to get a discounted main game only to discover I need a pack of £20.00 add ons.

I might consider picking the game up as a couple of buddies have it and this is essentially "half price".

I love Team Osiris and I wish that they would have their own game WITHOUT any mention of the Master Chief & Cortana.

In regards to this thread, I couldn't care any less about the multiplayer modes of Halo 5.

I will admit, the extra stuff that comes with the special edition does sound good, but since ALL of the multiplayer modes outside of the Story Mode are PvP, they (these extra stuff) are useless in my opinion.

I only played " 1 " Warzone match and the PvE / PvP integration (in my opinion) is stupid!

At first, I didn't kill anyone in the opposing team (because that is mean / rude) and I played it PvE style.

Then, they started killing me over and over again, this made me really mad!

..........

I would definitely make use of these extra stuff if Halo 5 had a PvE Firefight Mode and a PvE mission set like Spartan Ops.

I really enjoyed the parts of the game where I was playing with Team Osiris, I wish that instead of making me play as the Master Chief and his team that they were just cut-scenes.

The Master Chief is awesome, but at this point of time I am tired of playing as the Master Chief.

I would prefer the " create your own Spartan " approach like in Halo Reach and Spartan Ops, but since this isn't an option I would be happy with Team Osiris instead

I got so mad that I abandoned attacking the NPCs and focused on exterminating the opposing team instead!

..........

I died a lot while doing this (exterminating the opposing team), but my team won because the opposing team was too distracted by the fact that I was pretty much gunning for them to the point that I would let the NPCs kill me just to kill one or two of them!

...........

I really felt bad in the end about getting all aggressive on the opposing team, but they left me no choice

They wouldn't leave me alone and insisted on PvP instead of PvE

I never played Warzone again after this

Those players were mean / rude
