Game isn't as bad as is being made out.

Its not a looker, load time on the menus is ridiculous.

But the core gameplay is good.

A couple of patches would make this very very decent

 

Completely agree, it's far from being perfect and certainly lacks the polish of a TW game, but the potential is most definitely there, and I also think it's just a few patches from being a great game.

Which means it's up to the devs, so will be interesting to see how they approach it now.

 

More I play this the more I'm loving it, having a bit of trouble making a course though as it's not saving so can't proceed

 

Even though I'd love a new golf game but reading some of the comments here and other sites I'm glad I held off for now.

Hopefully the developers release a few updates and get the game up and running properly.

 

Reluctantly got the game not expecting much,but i think it plays ok.ilike the tournement mode as there are so many created by players you can enter one where 30 have entered or if you want a better chance to win you can enter one with 7 or 8.playing against
ghosts works well as you can play against recent players or players 5 mins ahead of you . Although the tee shots are way too easy the rest of the game is challenging.the graphics are average and its not a next gen experiance,but its a decent game.

 

Got TGC this week for my new xbox one ... I doubt the clips on the developers website are on an xbox ... The picture quality is dissapointing ... Flickering and shimmer detracts from the actual game ... I ve been reading it's displayed on 720 p ... I'd assumed
wrongly, it seems, it would be 1080 ... Next gen ??

 

I own this game on both XB1 and PS4, and while I think it looks a bit better on PS4 it seems to have more issues.

Personally I think the gameplay is better on XB1, but the PS4 does outshine it when it comes to graphics, but it comes at a cost in my opinion - the PS4 suffers from some pretty horrible flickering effects and there seems to be a bug on both consoles where
a shot that you expect to hit 100% power will only hit around the 92% mark. This particular bug seems to be far more frequent on PS4.

 

I stuck up for this game when it was first released, but these days it's really doing my head in!

I constantly suffer from the 91 - 94% shot power bug since the update and it's pretty much round ruining. Regardless of how well you play an approach with loft on, if it's further than 100 yards out you are looking at the ball rolling to the back of the
green. Ridiculous. The putting is random too - the putting line breaks on its own accord and I have a problem of the ball finishing an inch short or bouncing over the hole if I'm 8-12 ft away uphill.

Don't get me started on the new handicap system! Totally open for abuse and I always thought the handicap system was the lack of upgrading your golfer so we all play with the same attributes?!?!

I need to play another 20 public courses and get a hole in one on an official course then I'm done. The game had/has so much potential but it's marred by minor problems which can become major game breakers.

 

Someone knows when arrives the season games of TGC?

 

I purchased this game and had a good play about, gave it a few days then called Xbox up and asked for a refund

Wasn't as polished on first release and just wasn't any good

Here's hoping Golf Club 2 will be much better TBC
