Your guess is as good as mine.As it's an ID@Xbox game i'd say sometime around the 11am mark like the old arcade games but thats just a guess.

Apparently its on the dash at a much more reasonable £27.99. Going to download it now.

Had some money in my account that i'd forgotten about so i've just downloaded this.

 

Seeing some comments about this not looking very good on screen around the web. Apparently the gameplay is good still though.

Any of you early adopters give us an impression?

 

I like it only problem is judging the distance to hit the ball

 

Now then, it's hard to describe this game without being really negative.

Negatives;

Graphics are absolutely shocking! I can see past poor visuals but jaggys on the pin and the arrow which shows whether you hooked, sliced or hit the ball straight are unacceptable. Feel robbed because the PC vids on YT looked so sweet and the PS4 are getting
a 1080 version.

Frame rate issues. It feels like its running at 10fps during the flyby and when the ball is in the air. Very painful to watch.

General layout of the game is confusing. Its a mess! I understand we are always online but a bit of a single player game wouldn't have gone a miss and I understand there are 20 official courses....where exactly? Maybe I can't see the wood for the trees but
I can't see an option to play a round on them individually! Obviously I've played a couple of them in a tournament but they could have been user created courses for all I knew.

Putting can be hit and miss. Putting meter always set to 145ft means anything 40ft plus can be a stab in the dark.

No crowds! The sparseness of the courses makes the whole experience lifeless.

The price. £27.99 for this lol. Come on, it shouldn't cost anymore than £10-15 max!

Positives;

It's a realistic golf game!

The gameplay is actually very good and if your approach play is decent you shouldn't have to contend with monster putts!!!

My overall opinion....

Microsoft should be hanging their heads in shame allowing this to be released looking like this especially for £27.99 - the way the game looks is an absolute disgrace, the whole layout is a mess and I feel we've been misled by the PC YT vids....BUT... there
is a fantastic golf game hidden in the mess! I just feel a bit schizophrenic about this game.

 

I said to be wary before release having seen the graphics im stunned this was allowed to be released looks like something that wouldnt look out of place on a mega drive.......wow

 

Putting is about the only thing i can get spot on nearly every time.

After years of playing Tiger Woods this does take a lot of getting used to.

Getting told i'm not connected to live a lot when i am & it really could do with a bit of a tutorial,you just get chucked into a par 3 hole & have to get on with it.

Does take a long time to load sometimes but i suppose that's down to the amount of courses there are.

Kinda wished i waited but it is a good challenge so kinda glad i didn't,if that makes sense?

 

Thanks for your opinions gents, so nearly picked this up today but glad I didn't, as much as people don't like EA I've never really had a bad thing to say about Tiger games so think they will be my next golf game.

 

Also what sort of a developer takes their website down for maintenance on release day!!!!!!

 

Its called avoiding the backlash more than likely done on purpose.

 

The cynic in me was thinking exactly the same thing lol!
