For anyone who has been waiting for The Golf Club to get a release date it will be soon. Either the week of August 18th(long shot) or the week of August 25th(most likely).

We'll see.I hate Golf but for some reason have always liked playing Golf games.

So far the Golf games on the Xbox One have been a bit of a let down,Powerstar Golf has probably been the most fun but that's more of an arcade game.

Will wait & see if this is any good after release,especially after paying full price for the awful Golf Club at release.

 

Cool,i might get it....Sometimes is great to play a peacefull game after a Titanfall session....

Powerstar golf is fun and all ,but far from sim.

 

I completely agree with both of you guys. Im waiting to see whats the price before giving a definite answer to SnakeEater about getting it.

Don't be too sure about the price. It is $34.99 on Steam for early access right now. So, I would guess somewhere between $20 and that. For everything that they are putting into the game. And the ability to download and
play any course designed on all platforms(PS4,X1 and PC). I would pay above $20 for a game with that much content available already. And the potential for so many more courses designed by the community.

If you are interested in the game, it would be worth the read and watch to go through all their posts on their website. They have a lot of good info about the game. Many how to videos to learn how to play the game and make
designing your own course a lot easier.

IMO, it looks really good, but I have yet to find a golf game that I really, truly like (and believe me when I say that I've tried them all) and am willing to purchase. Maybe this will be the one?

 

Wow, those graphics look incredible. It would be nice to see EA get a bit of competition. Price seems right, for sure.

 

I truly enjoy golf games. So peaceful and relaxing. The last golf game I enjoyed was Tiger Woods 2009. Seemed like the series went downhill after that. This game looks fun and I like the ability to create our own golf courses too. Plus cross platform gaming
is an excellent idea. This is about the only indie game I have ever been interested in.

 

I was part of the beta on PC, but never bought the early access version. My year old PC never ran the game at more than 15fps on low detail, in a window. The Unity engine was totally unoptimized and though it has gotten better with constant updates, I was
never going to spend $2-300 for a video card just for that game. I have followed the development progress though on the website and the developers really care about the game they have created.

I think the price point will be 29-39.95 for a digital only game. There will be no disc copies released at all. As SNAKExEATER said above the difference between this game and some others in the pipeline will be the cross platform sharing of courses created
with the Greg Norman Course Creator. They have licensed his name for use in the game. Courses created on the PC and the PS4 and the Xbox One will all be accessible from each platform. They were shooting for cross platform play, but Sony and MS shot that down
mainly due to the game tag naming conventions on each platform. Ghost ball play will be the only option at release.

 

Swings look very mechanical and not fluent at all in the trailer ... But with those customization features as well as multiplayer and single player game modes, this game is intriguing.

 

Ah, so I wasn't the only one to notice the unlife-like golf swings, eh!?

 

Nope, I saw them. Looks like it has good graphics though.
