The games with Gold are poor

Agree, Microsoft murdered the Games With Gold, Its very sad...

I have been an Xbox Live Gold member for a number of years and have always viewed Gold membership as being for the online multiplayer (as it originally started out) and that the Games With Gold are just a bonus added later on.

Also don't forget the Xbox 360 Games With Gold games are also playable on Xbox One meaning we get offered four games per month as part of the service.

I could say roughly the same thing only OPPOSITE, for me, it is primarily about the games. The online multiplayer is a "bonus" feature I rarely use and would not miss much if it were gone. Honestly, I don't know why we have to pay for online multiplayer,
it's the internet after all and I pay my internet provider to connect me to the internet where I can play multiplayer online games for free on a variety of websites.

And don't forget, four crappy games is just as crappy as one crappy game or twelve crappy games. It doesn't matter if you give me a hundred games not worth playing, I'm still quitting this subscription and possibly switching to a different platform once my
Xbox One dies/becomes obsolete. Dependent on what games with gold, subscription service and systems are like in 1-3 years when that happens.

Backwards compatibility is going to ultimately be decided upon by the game developer. It's their game and their license. If rockstar wanted the 360 version of GTA available on the Xbox One, they could do that. The 360 emulator is built into the Xbox One.
Either the game developer will allow their game to be available or not.

- Xbox is going to be around for awhile. The main players are Xbox and playstation, do you think Xbox/Microsoft is going to walk away from the status and market share that it has. How many other markets has Microsoft been involved in that they dropped?!
Music, Music Players, Cell Phones and so on and Xbox is still around.

If you don't like the service or the product, you have choices out there. I think you'll find out if you go to a competitor and see what they have to offer and see what, if any, free stuff you get with your subscription.

A few months ago the Xbox community is unsatisfied with the games offered to Live Gold subscribers. Coincidentally, since the launch of the Game Pass service the games offered to Live Gold subscribers are not representative. Some good games
have been offered, it is true, but for months there are no more important games coming out. We do not believe that Microsoft should adversely influence the games offered to Live Gold subscribers as a way to have more Game Pass subscribers. So we are here to
express disappointment at the games offered to Live Gold subscribers. The games offered in the march 2018 are unacceptable. We hope that this reality will change completely in the following month.

I second the motion and my latest year of Live Gold expires next month. I won't be renewing and am seriously looking for other options for gaming. The games are just that terrible, I feel as though I am paying to be slapped in the face.
