I'm trying to download 'Dishonored' - one of the free games with gold for August 2014. But, I end up getting the error - "The game's region does not match this console . It won't be downloaded and you have not been charged. ". However, I was able to download
the other game with gold for August 2014 - Motocross Madness. Also, I was able to download all the games with gold for May, June and July 2014. I purchased the XBOX 360 console in Canada and am trying to download the game in Canada as well. But my gamertag
was created in Singapore. So my questions are -

1. What should I do to resolve this?

2. How come I didn't see this issue for the other games?

3. Could the issue be due to the difference between the gamertag creation location(Singapore) and my current location(Canada)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Crysis 3 - Games with Gold - Region Mismatch - Singapore

Hi Team,

I am currently Xbox Live Gold Member in Singapore region. I am trying to download this months second free game with gold 'Crysis 3'. But following error message appears when I try to purchase it on a pc.

"This content is not available for consoles in your region."

When I try to purchase it on Xbox Console following error message appears:

"This game's region does not match this console. It won't be downloaded, and you have not been charged."

Can you please assist for the same? Thank you.

@ Badger you are confounding the disc edition with digital edition. Check up your facts before expressing statements!

The message received by the gamers who own PAL consoles is "This game's region does not match this console. It won't be downloaded, and you have not been charged"

This clearly is the case of locked region by the publisher.

It's due to IP. Some games are not able to be downloaded if the gamertag is not set for the same region (country) that you physically live in.

Is the gamertag still set for Singapore? If so do a region change to Canada and you'll have no more issues.

Does your account region match your physical location? This game is region locked, so if those don't match you won't be able to download the game.

Yes. If a game was region locked, the region lock is still in place. As long as your account region matches your physical location, any games that show in the store on your console are available to you. So if GTA IV shows up for you, you'll be able to download it. If your account region does not match your physical location and the game is not actually available in your region, you won't be able to download it.

That game is region locked, so if your regions do not match or you live in a region where the game is not available, you won't be able to download it.

Does the region you're physically in match the region of the card and the region you set the console to? If not, it won't work. All 3 have to match.

It sounds like you have a region difference issue. You might not be able to play it. If it is a disc, what is the region code on it (NTSC, PAL, NTSC-J)? If it is digital download, what region did you download it from? Where do you live? If your region (or
the region of your console) does not match the region of the game, you won't be able to play it.
