What’s the specific DLC you’re referring to, and are you experiencing the issue on an Xbox One or Series X|S?

The DLC in question is Train Sim World® 3: ScotRail Express: Edinburgh - Glasgow.

Do you receive any error code/message when you try to play the DLC and have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling it?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the DLC and base game multiple times. To no avail. And I have not received any error codes from the console. The console fans just go into total overdrive to the point where it sounds like it is going to explode. The game then crashes and takes me back to the Xbox home screen. The fans then quiet down after 2/3 mins. It only happens on this DLC. I have another Train Sim DLC that is significantly more taxing on the memory and I have never had the game crash or Xbox perform to that extent.

Does your console unexpectedly power off or simply just overheat and crash to the dashboard? Are any other games or apps affected?

This is exactly what happens. If the game doesn't crash and take me back to the home screen the console simply turns itself off. And this is the only DLC for this game that I've had this issue with. It/s not even a big DLC that requires a lot of processing power. I have another one from DTG that is significantly more taxing and I've never had an issue. It's only on this specific DLC.

Perform these processes below as well please

Select Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & Features. Apps and Features in Settings.

Select the application you want to fix.

Select the Advanced Options link under the application name (some applications do not have this option). On the page that opens, select Repair if available.

Once the Reset is done, you will see a check sign next to the Reset button. And restart the PC

In the meantime we’ll do our best. What screen do you get to before it crashes? Is it the splash screen or does the game load in some and then crash? Or does it do nothing and quit?
