    About 2 years ago, I got Hot Wheels Stunt Track Challenge for the Original Xbox. Was working well until my disc is scratched up. Back to present day, I got an another one that is somewhat clean. Got it to read and a few seconds after the Original Xbox logo showed up, I got an error saying "The game couldn't start.

    Try downloading the game again." I've read the forums and the posts said the Hard drive is the cause (I have a Halo 4 Edition Xbox 360 Slim). The thing is the Hard Drive I got is an official Microsoft Hard Drive and it works well with the other Original Xbox games (tried The Simpsons: Hit and Run and it works) but not Stunt Track Challenge.

    Hi,

    Problem must be either with the disc or the 360 DVD laser, or possibly a combination of both. Try cleaning the disc. Try playing the game in another 360 if possible.

    Won't be the HDD as other originals are working.

    just so its clear when i tried other Xbox original games they were discs not downloaded and they still came up with "the game couldn't start. try downloading again".

    That's a good one for the phone support team, most likely it's related to your storage device and a format may not have been enough if it's failing.
