    Hello,

    A few weeks back, my boot drive for Windows 10 corrupted and I had to replace it and re-install Windows 10 on a new SSD.

    My setup is as follows:

    Windows 10 C: drive (boot drive)

    9Tb partition D: drive for storage.

    Prior to my previous hardrive (C: drive) crashing, I had purchased Ark from the Microsoft Game store and installed it on my D: drive. Ever since I re-installed Windows 10 onto my new SSD, I can no longer start or even access Ark. I had to change the permission
    set on the WindowsApps folder on the D: drive to even view the files.

    I'm encountering the following issues:

    - If I attempt to launch the game from the Xbox app, there's no "play" button; only a follow or unfollow button.

    - When I go to the Windows store to view Ark, there's no button to launch the game. There is only an "install" button. When I click this button and select the D: drive and hit install, nothing happens. No errors, no launching of the installer, no downloads,
    nothing.

    - Windows does not detect Ark in Programs and Settings; actually, it doesn't detect any programs that are installed on the D: drive when I switch the drop-down menu to the D: drive.

    - When I attempt to run the executable to run Ark from the WindowsApps folder I encounter an error saying Windows cannot find the file path. And it also says to check the permission states.

    - If I attempt to delete the WindowsApps folder from the D: drive, I'm told by Windows that a file is corrupted and therefore the folder cannot be deleted.

    I've been trying to formulate my question for awhile now and I guess its this: How do I either remove Ark and all of my save games from my D: drive or get Windows to recognize the WindowsApps folder?

    Try that. You shouldn't have to play with the actual folder. Windows doesn't like you doing that for its store apps.

    Done all that got to installing gaming services but didn't give me an option to install so I'm guessing it didn't uninstall? I reinstalled Xbox app and still cannot install the games i want but can still install ark

    re installing the OS or changing hdd means you have to remove the windows apps folder and download again, the folder where the games go is encrypted to that one install of the os and cannot be moved or synced to a new os.

    once removed then you can redownload all the gamepass games again.

    Hi there!

    Go ahead and remove the hard drive from the console and re-connect it and then see if you can start the game. If you cannot get it to start, try re-installing the game again.

    If nothing seems to work then the issue lies with the recent game update that caused the game to crash.

    On the same solution page provided by XBF Nestor, try step 7 and rollback the system update and re-install it again.
