The future of GTA V and GTA Online

So, we must all be feeling it a bit now; GTA V/Online fatigue. I have by no means been on this game every day, but at 189 hours, I have also seen most things it has to offer. I get on GTAV/O here and there, but have started to make a dent in the huge pile
games that have stacked up in the 6-7 months since the release of GTA V.

What I wanted to talk about is where you guys see Rockstar taking GTAV and GTAO in the future. You can probably remember them talking about adding more locations and having the vision of a GTA world at some point. As cool as that would be, it sounds unlikely
on the current gen consoles. There is also "significant" story DLC on its way.

So what do you think will happen, or what would you like to see? Will they ever have a DLC pack that adds new locations? Will the story of Trevor, Michael and Franklin continue? Will heists ever turn up? And if they do, will that keep you playing?

I will start off; I think there will be the heists eventually, but they won't live up to the hype. Rockstar will allow us to create our own missions in the creator and this will give the game a new lease of life, we will have user generated content that will
be up there with Rockstar's own work. I also think that the singleplayer DLC will be based around events after the main story.

What I would like to happen is for them to launch a story based DLC around police in LS, but nothing to do with the main SP characters. Just the story of 2-3 different policeman of various ranks, dealing with the scum in LS and how their stories intertwine.
So for example, a street cop, a detective and a cop in deep cover with one of the gangs. I would also like to see Liberty City added to GTAO, Cops and Crooks return along with a real free mode with no money or saves available.

So what do you think will happen and what do you hope will happen?

So i redeemed gta online and i uninstalled my gta v and reinstalled it again because it freezes mid game.. will the gta online still accessible after i reinstalled gta v?

 

What Would You Like to See in Future GTA V Updates/DLC

Here is a list of things I would love to see in future GTA V updates.

1. Casinos - I know this has been hinted/rumored but I really would love the see this added in both GTA V Story Mode & GTA V Online.

2. Vigilante/Fire/Paramedic Side Missions - Jump in a police car to chase down a feeling suspect. Put out a fire. Rush to the near ER to save someones life. This would be great to see in both GTA V Story Mode & GTA V Online.

3. New Missions in Story Mode - Would love to see some new missions added to GTA V.

4. The ability to run inside your house - I hate the fact that you can't run inside your house.. LOL.

5. The ability to turn off/tweak wanted levels in both GTA V Story Mode & GTA V Online - I hate when someone is shooting at me or whatnot and you go and defended yourself the cops come after you. Or if you shoot someone and there is no one else around they
come after you. There should be an option to tone down the wanted level of the game.

 

Why do people keep acting like Heists are some made up story or a myth? Yes, heists are coming out. I just hope that they are long and complicated. I don't want them to end up being a longer version of a mission. They need to be like the heists were for
story, with options and planning.

GTA World sounds awesome, but no do-able with current gen. I don't even see the next GTA installment being that huge. But with the path that GTA is going.. its possible. GTA has come a long way and that's a good thing.

I would love for a North Yankton being accessible both for story and online. I don't think we will be seeing Liberty City anytime soon, or at least I hope not. I loved IV but lets give Liberty City a break.

At first I would have said no to dlc for story, but a whole new story based on being a cop in LS sounds great. I would definitely buy it.

So you want no saved cars, money, clothes, guns, apartment, or any of that customized stuff online? Why?

 

That would be in addition to the regular GTAO. A sandbox mode where everything is unlocked so you can just mess about. And turn police off.

 

I think heists will come eventually and they are just making sure it's right before they release it, as I'm sure they don't want to cause an uproar within the community.

DLC could involving police could be interesting, especially with corruption... a reference to Tenpenny, Pulaski and Hernandez anyone?

If any DLC were to be released with new locations, I would personally like to see places that were inside San Andreas e.g. San Fierro and Las Venturas. Perhaps with the new found fortune that Michael, Franklin and Trevor have obtained, they take a little
vacation to LV, where of course their mischievous acts (notably a casino heist or something) get them into trouble with the wrong people for another wild adventure.

 

The only way I'll be playin this again/more, is if they put it on current gen, and fix the damn driving and damage physics. I am getting very annoyed with driving full speed into vehicles(even oncoming) only to have barely any damage, and for the game to
assist me in maintaining control of my car(while going very fast, too). It is an absolute disgrace that they would make this game for the casual gamer, WOW! It's embarrassing when I end up playin GTA IV more than V now....

 

As for the police thing. I doubt that they will do it. If you want that there is LA Noire. With 3 of the best characters in GTA history I highly doubt they will bring a separate character in. for the DLC.

 

I would like a couple of hockey mask, I would perfer some of them with a "black skull"

 

I know the police thing is unlikely, it is just something I think would be cool. The reason I suggested Liberty City is because it had already been built, any new location would take years of coding. They could make LC and Ludendorff destinations that you
could choose at the airport.

I like your idea about the "police-related story". I would honestly like to see the addition of a Cop-N-Robbers Free Roam gameplay element implemented into GTA: O and for us to use one of our "empty" player slots to access it; doing it this way makes it
feel SEPERATE from the MAIN them of the game and have it be what it was intended to be: DLC, aka, downloadable content, aka, a separate element from the main them of the game.

With the news about Battlefield: Hardline, I'm wondering if R* will implement something similar just to keep the players "entertained". R* is known to do stuff like this to take the attention away from newer games and other advertisements by rival gaming
companies (SR series ring a bell?). However, regardless of if we do never get something to the extent of what the OP or I am envisioning, I can still make do with what I have already and hopefully wait to see "actual" improvements made to the game worthy of
the R* logo. As of now, IMO, a few guns, some 30-odd reskinned clothing, and a couple of supers introduced is NOT that great. I will say though that the addition of additional property is one thing I will give credit to R*.
