The future of gaming doesnt look too good

I dont play multiplayer that often but a few nights ago decided to try Dead Island Riptide online to see if I could get some achievements.One minute after launching the game 3 people entered my game and all were using modded weapons with unlimited firepower.One
guy had 999,999 of every item in the game in his inventory.I left that game and waited until the following day and the same thing happened.3 different players who were all modders and seemed more interested in duplicating each others weapons rather than playing
the game.Is this the future of gaming? I noticed all the modders were very young-15 to 20 years old.I went to my friends list and invited several to play and lo and behold they were offering me modded weapons! Does anyone play the game the way it was intended
anymore.?

Gears Judgment, DBNO and Locust removal opinions?

like i said, lazy developers. there is a reason PCF is doing this game and Cliff and Rob left, doesnt look good for the future of Gears.

 

Nadella is in favor or against Microsoft's shareholders who want the end of Xbox Division?

Hmm doesnt look good for the industry does it. If xbox is a black hole for microsoft, Sony's future looking bleak bar stripping down a number of its dud assets (tvs etc), and nintendo cant sell anything.

 

1) How did you know their ages?

2) This game is a few years old, right? Wouldn't this mean that the gaming past doesn't look too good?

3) Modded weapons is a dev's problem and most dev's are too busy preparing for their next game to fix previous bugs.

4) I wouldn't worry too much.

 

Simply avoid random people online, just find some friends and only play with them.

That said i do agree, i really can`t stand playing online, if its not modders its screaming kids hurling abuse at you.

You find friends in un-modded games, or even through forums.

 

It was/is the same on the first Dead Island. Always had guys standing around shooting dropped weapons to create infinite pickups. It never got patched. Techland are hard at work with Dying Light now... no way Riptide'll get fixed.

 

Yeah most developers will fix a game only a few months after release and will move on to the next game. The best thing you can do, is find people that don't hack/mod, maybe here on the forums.
