    The future for broadcasting on Xbox


    Hey guys. I know you all have heard the breaking news yesterday that Microsoft have decided to shut down their streaming service Mixer and partnered with Facebook gaming. I have been a huge streamer. I loved to broadcast random games and it is super easy to broadcast on mixer with the Xbox by clicking "start broadcast". Now this won't be the case anymore. My question is would the same feature still be available on Xbox and linked with Facebook gaming instead?????

    You can only broadcast on Twitch directly from your xbox at the moment.

    No idea whether they'll add the option to broadcast to Facebook directly in the future.

    why no 1080i support

    Have to laugh at all the people that think just because the Xbox One doesn't support 1080i, it is extinct and the X1 is the future. 1080i is a broadcast standard. That means most all cable boxes and stations broadcast in 1080i. The Xbox One is suppose
    to be the all in One machine with HDMI in for cable boxes. But now most people aren't even using that because the 1080i signal is being scaled to 720p and making their cable TV look worse. And unless its sports or something with fast motion, the "slight blur"
    isn't a problem for most TV shows.



    And if the X1 is indeed only built for the future than it should only support 4K resolutions...

    The feature to broadcast from your Xbox to PC isn't available for the new Xbox app at this time. There are a lot of features that are still only available on the old companion app, like trimming and uploading game clips to Xbox Live. Hopefully some of those
    features will be added to the new app in the future.
