The Evil Within

I picked up my copy of The Evil Within yesterday. My first impressions weren't all that great. The framerate was in the low 20's, the resolution was blatantly sub 1080p, and those *** black bars. I don't complain about resolution because the argument is
annoying, and the differences between 1080p native vs 720/900p upscaled to 1080p are negligible at best. But this game was a mess, everything had a blurry haze to it as if I was looking at it through a screen door even after turning the Film Grain setting
completely off. After a couple hours I got used to the black bars, but the other stuff was still bugging me. Upon booting up the game today my views have changed significantly. I don't know if another patch was released today or if the system update for October
helped system stability, but the graphics and framerate have cleaned up substantially. I also downloaded the game for my PC so I could use it on my tower or on my laptop when I'm on the go. Maxed out on my tower at 1080p sitting side by side with the Xbox
One version, the differences are minimal. PC has slightly sharper textures and shadows, and the lighting is cast a little differently, but the resolution is identical as far as I can tell. Beyond that I have a hard time telling the two apart. I might just
be imagining things but I highly doubt it, and honestly I can say I'm impressed with the Xbox One version. If anybody had any doubts about picking this up, don't let them get the best of you. This is one of the best horror games I have played in a long time.

I'm gonna wait for the reviews to decide if i want to get it..I haven't been scared to play a game since dead space 1 and alan wake. I'll wait though.

I might get Sunset Overdrive, but the other 2 you mentioned are a no-go for me, bran. I'm waiting for GTAV, MKX, BFH, CoD:AW, MtGotP, H:MCC, H5, and a few others that I probably can't recall right now.
