Bethesda has released a 60 minute video of The Evil Within. I havent check it out yet but will in a bit.

Fantastic announcements for E3 2014.

What I'd like to see:

1. Call of duty updates including what era the next call of duty takes place and if they are planning on going to a 3 team dev cycle
   
2. Starwars Battlefront gameplay footage
3. The Division updates
4. Borderlands 3 announcement
5. Red Dead Redemption 2 announcement
6. Far Cry 4 announcement
7. Dying light updates
8. Evil within updates
9. Mad max gameplay footage

 

This is definitely on my must play list. It reminds me of "The Suffering" on the original Xbox.

In case you don't remember:

 

Sig, I really enjoyed both Ties that Binds.... they really crept me out.... that would be a good remake able series...

Looks as great as it looks stupid.

There's a difference between terror and horror.

This is what separates great Gothic fiction from crap.

Spectacular lighting, atmostpheric gameplay, the ability to render a realistic world with realistic characters and what do they do with it?

Grab some of the most bone obvious 'horror tropes' and throw them in a big fat disorganised mess.

It's like they let a child loose in a Gourmet kitchen.

Garbage.

Garbage because it looks like it's such a waste of a game that had such great potential.

I so want to be wrong about this game which looks great but appears to be a steaming pile of rubbish.

That, looks pretty good to me. I had this suggested to me over in the Game Discussion forum section by a few users that know their survival horror games. Got to say, it has my interest! Thanks for posting.

 

My gosh, this is almost IDENTICAL to Outlast. There are almost too many parallels to even list them all. If anyone has played Outlast, you should clearly see the similarities. I'd go as far as saying it's a complete ripoff. Even the groaning sound the
main character makes when injured is exactly the same.

Isn't Outlast in 1st-person though? That completely changes the game, IMO.

 

No...it doesn't change the game enough for me to think that it's not an almost identical copy of Outlast.

 

I don't think it looks like Outlast that much.

 

pshhh it's almost exact. You are in an asylum running from cleaver/chainsaw wielding creatures, lots of gore and blood, hiding in lockers. It's so alike some people in other forums are asking if it's a sequel.

You don't need to link me to a video, I've beaten outlast not that long ago.

Also its obvious that unlike Outlast, the game will feature actual combat. And i;m pretty sure the game is going to have actual monsters than crazed psychos.

 

I have to say that I'm really doubting you played it if you can't see a very obvious similarity when watching the trailer. But okaaaaay.
