The Evil Within - First Impressions

After watching the first chapter of the game gonna pass on it

 

Hey Doc

You might want to look a little further than the first chapter.

It is a strange gaming experience that doesn't really settle until around the 3rd chapter.

 

From what i seen the game gross me out more than scared me not a big fan of the gore i would like your overall thought after you finish it if u dont mind

 

^I just had a game that mentally scared me, so I'm kind of thinking I might enjoy getting grossed out, haha.

I'm still so undecided if I want to go get this now or not though.... I slept on it and it hasn't made the decision any easier. Maybe I'll just got see how much it is, haha.

 

Anyone help me out regarding the chainsaw guy at the beginning please? I just can't seem to get past him.

 

I had this problem myself when I began.

On or around the table where he is chopping there will be a set of keys.

Problem is they're so bright they don't look like keys so unless someone tells you... yer gonna miss them.

Pick those up and you'll be able to get through the door.

Don't try and fight the chainsaw guy unless you want to see the death animations.

 

I was thinking about this game the other day but it's still €69.99 here. I guess I'll wait a little longer to get it.

 

I really don't understand how you could be so militant about Day 1 DLC... a stance that I, for the most part, agree with...

But then boldly proclaim to the Forums that you're only buying digital games now?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

You sort of undermine your ability to criticise others by subscribing to a false marketplace economy that asks SEVENTY Euros for an EIGHT pound game.

I've still got this on my shelf to play, only got through a few chapters but keep planning on going back to it at sometime. Every time I play it I enjoy it, but never seem to stick at it for any more than an hour a go. Did I read somewhere that they backtracked
and got rid of the black borders?

 

^I believe so, although I already had all the achievement by the time they did it so I've never gone back to try it, though I do want to because the stupid thing is if you complete Akumu mode it only unlocks the knuckle dusters for that save file and not
your previous save files so I still want to go and unlock everything on my akumu save.

To remove the black go to bars Settings --> Graphics --> Letterbox

 

I liked it so much on the PS4 I bought the xb1 version for $10 new. I noticed you can remove the letterbox on the xb1, nice.
