The Elite controller is cheaply made

Do not purchase this controller people. So far I have had to repair mine twice. First, the left stick came loose and started sliding in and out from its position underneath the faceplate of the controller. So I decided to just say screw the warranty and
fix it myself. Afterwards it worked fine for about a month.

Then today, the left bumper decided to stop pressing in, so popped it open again to discover that the cheap plastic on the bumper had cracked slightly, rendering LB useless.

Generally, Im not hard on controllers and have never broken one until the Elite. This one broke twice in only a few months.

Save your money if youre considering the Elite.

yeah I dont like the way my older controller creaks an practically crumbles in my hands, very cheaply made.

Xbox elite controller xbox scam. Don't ever buy elite controller.

I bought the Xbox Elite that came with the elite controller, i took care of the elite controller like it was my precious, never drop it or anything, then after 10 months the RB button bumper broke due to the use i guess... then i call xbox support and they
told me the elite controller only has 3 months of warranty. only 3 months? WHAT, so what should i do with this broken 150$ controller? They told me they cannot fix it or replace it because the short time warranty. They told me i would have to buy another elite
controller, Are you serious xbox? The elite controller should be indestructible! is a 150$ controller how can this happened? And how xbox don't give more warranty time to the costumer, at least AT LEAST a year for such expensive controller. The controller
works perfectly fine is just the RB bumper that is broken, but now is trash according to xbox support and i have to buy another one. This is not fair xbox, you are playing with kids feelings here. I've been a costumer for more than a decade buying all xbox
products so you guys can tell me that there is nothing to do and that i have to buy another 150$ controller and for what? If i buy another xbox elite controller it will break again because they are cheaply made, is not true they are made with the best parts,
that's not true they are made with plastic that is easily breakable, trash. Don't ever buy a elite controller.

under the rights of australian and nz consumer legislation which microsoft can NOT avoid we get a 12 month warranty over here regardless of what microsoft says. the law is above any contract and lol microsoft has to fork out the money when replacing faulty
controllers. ive had my turtle beach 500x replaced 3x with a brand new pair of turtle beach 500x headsets due to it cracking and not built durable enough.

And yet there are those of us that have had Elite controllers pretty much since they went on sale and haven't had any issues. Not saying you or anyone else is lying about this, just that it may not be as widespread an issue as you believe. If it really
was Microsoft likely would have been forced to admit it by now (like with the red ring issues on the 360).

IIf only US law was a strict as australia and nz law regarding consumer products. microsoft must be having fun loosing money for dishing out free replacement controllers for australian and nz customers who have had faulty controllers under what we enjoy
a longer warranty courtesy of our governments.

ELITE CONTROLLERS ARE SCAMS, the d pad especially is completely fake like you could get a better one from CHINA.

DO not buy. They must of made great profits off scamming their customers for this. Sticking with all normal parts from now on.

Didn't even bother getting mine replaced. I used that controller literally a handful of times.

Bravo to those of us who were smart enough not to buy one. My two Day 23 standard controllers are still working fine. With that said... $190 is nothing IMO. A cheap pair of shoes cost more.
