The Elder Scrolls Online Cloud data corrupted (Xbox servers not console)

I have spoken with TESO support and they have stated that the cloud data stored on Xbox cloud servers is corrupted and is causing my game to freeze at the sync cloud data window when accessing the game. This issue only happens on this game and no other.

I have done the following.

Deleted XBL account

Deleted Local storage

Deleted persistent storage

Restarted Xbox

Reset Xbox

Reconfigured Xbox

Uninstalled entire game

Uninstalled any DLCs

Reinstalled the game

Factory reset delete all games/apps

Power-cycle console

Reset modem/router

They said that Xbox would have to access the cloud server where my game data for The elder scrolls online is located and delete it all so they may push through the correct data saved on the account created with them. This is the only possible way and I have
tried calling support/chatting online with everyone seeming very confused or ill-trained on this matter.

Due to this issue I cannot play the game at all, I have not tried on another Xbox as I do not have one nor do I have the money to just buy one on a whim but I have tried it on another profile (playing the game) and I was able to get through the games start
menu so this issue is only with my XBL profile and only happens on this game.

When are we.going to start experiencing cloud gaming?

I am hoping that online only games are using cloud. (Elder scrolls online, titanfall,) it would be nice if halo used online.

Fixed issue

So after continuously doing everything and wasting hours speaking to both ZOS and ESO support with receiving the run around I have finally been able to get back into the game.

Here is my solution to this issue which requires you to be fast but you can do it pretty easily.

First let me explain the real issue and the issue actually is not the save game data but the saved preference data that is most likely apart of the save game data but is just a part of it. I know I just confused you here but this is what you need to do.

First press the xbox guide button and navigate to the settings icon.

Second click settings and go to system and click storage.

Third Click clear local saved games and wait for Xbox to reboot.

Fourth load ESO up and immediately when the window pops up for syncing cloud data click cancel as fast as you can.

^Note: Sometimes the window does not come up and you will just freeze and if that happens repeat step four but wait 10-15 minutes before trying again.

Fifth After getting into the game world make sure you move around and use all options such as changing weapons,viewing weapons, and casting an ability (for technical reasons).

Sixth log-out and restart your console.

Seventh When you load back into the start menu it will tell you which cloud save data to use. USE THE NEWER ONE!! IT WILL SHOW THE CURRENT DATE YOU CREATED IT WHICH IS THE DATE YOU PERFORM THESE STEPS!!.

After doing this I was able to gain access to the game with my player data intact but it did a 'New user' setup where it took you through screen adjustments/brightness adjustments but nonetheless both character data was in tact

^NOTE: I am currently having an issue after performing this with the third person view (no matter how far I go out it will still be way to close almost as if I were in first person).

Disclaimer: This is what worked for me I cannot guarantee that it will work for all who face such a terrible glitch but hopefully this serves as a light at the end of the tunnel for all whom seek help with this issue.

Good news, Zenimax Online Studio has found the problem. Bad news is Elder Scrolls Online will be removed from MS Cloud Gaming for a while to fix it.

The Xbox Cloud Gaming team have identified a fix which we expect to take a few months to implement. While this work is in progress, The Elder Scrolls Online will be temporarily unavailable on Xbox Cloud Gaming. This change goes into effect starting on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 12 p.m. PST/3 p.m. EST/8 p.m. GMT. You may still enjoy The Elder Scrolls Online and access your existing Xbox ESO account by downloading the game to an Xbox console.

No Elder Scrolls game on a console has been, or ever will be, MP of any kind.
