The drought is over....!

@24............ the last game I purchased was Lego Marvels at Christmas time. AC4, Halo Spartan, Max, racing games, sports game don't interest me.... I know what I like as I have tried many game styles as listed above. Thief really intrigues me, Titanfall
has caught my interest. Don't make your assumption that you think Im waiting for "the big game to be released" in the middle of the year, because that is not the case. Lego Movie has been anticipated by myself and and my wife.

Im not going to run out and buy every game out there for the X1 just because. I did not say that there was a lack of games. There was a lack of games that I wanted to invest in. Come Friday, that will change.

Well the Game Drought IS

Still doesn't make it a drought. Although I find it odd, given the variety of games released this year and the good quality of many of them, that Madden is the game that interests you.

To respond too Unreal Warfare,,,, I never said there wasn't plenty to play, I just simply agree with the OP. I think it's nice to get a new batch of games to try and buy, like I said in my post, not everyone enjoys race car, sports, kinect games. And there's
also not much in the arcade or demos for that matter. And I dont blame anyone, the xbox1 is new so if course theres not a hell of alot out yet and I'm fine with that, just like I said I'm still enjoying my 360.

I think everyone on the xbox1 forums are way to defensive over a thread were the OP was just happy to have more to play.

I didn't see the op acting like there's nothing out there to play, just happy to see more to play with. But it seems like everyone is jumping all over him cause of this, and I hate to see our community rip on each other over stupid stuff.

more dlc? Realy I'm completely happy with just the game I played already, never mind the dlc keep it....who doesn't enjoy more game play?

@Jaspertodd I never said there was plenty to play as a means to discredit this “drought". I can enjoy a single game for months or even years if its a competitive one. I'm not jumping on anyone just saying this so called “drought" is self imposed and gamers
should learn to squeeze more enjoyment out of that full retail purchase.

No drought for me, but I'm glad yours is over.

 

If true that there are a good selection of games available for X1 but not all games are for everybody so it can be a drought for some gamers depending of their tastes in games. That without mention that some games are so short that can be beat in a blink
of an eye and gamers want to move on .

 

I am getting my $60 worth on NBA 2k14 playing all three modes.There are plenty of games out imo, theres racing, FPS, zombies, sports, you name it take a pick.

 

Man Theres some Major Moaner Lisa's on this site. It's the "Can't wait" people that encourage unfinished products.

[/quote]Don't like any of those so I say its still on!Didnt like blackflag, I played ENOUGH Forza5, Madden25 is getting boring, BF4 is broken, Need For speed is ZzZzZzz, RYSE im done in 4 days an the MP is kind a snooze.

 

At first, I thought OP lived by me or was stalking me. We actually had quite a bit of rain last night, we've had one of the driest years on record over here in Cali.

Now as far as a "game drought" OP, just because you don't like a type of genre or two, doesn't mean there's a game drought, except for you.

It'd be like somewhere claiming to have a drought because they don't like the shape of their rain droplets..
