The Downloaded Version of Advanced Warfare Won't Play in XB1 if Xbox live is down.

Has Microsoft, Sledgehammer etc fixed the downloaded version of Advanced Warfare to play OFF LINE or does it still not function if XBox live is off line? And if it doesn't, when will they make a fix? I realize it's an issue with verification of licensing.
Since I bought it and got the down load, I should have a license for it. Can you help?

Share game between two xb1s

I downloaded cod advanced warfare. Another family member has an xb1 in the house as well. is there a way to share that game so we can both play online at the sand time?

 

Xbox Live

I can not play Call of Duty Advanced Warfare on Xbox Live. I have downloaded everything but it signs me out when I load the game. It tells me to test connection or sign in again. If I test connection it takes me to the dashboard and everything is fine. I
can play any other game online except for Call of Duty Advanced Warfare and NHL 15.

 

Hi Mongo! Let me ask, have you set your Xbox One as your Home Console? If so, then you will be able to play offline, as well as any other profiles on your console. The License ONLY downloads to the console which is set as your Home Console, which means if
it isn't marked as Home you have to be logged into Live to play the game.

To set it as your Home Console, you'll need to press Menu, then go to Settings, at the left of the screen choose "My Xbox," then choose "My Home Xbox," and select to "Make this my home Xbox." That should download the license to your console and allow you
to play offline!

 

Thanks a bunch for the reply and for being so fast. It is set for home and not it still won't play. I found it all out when Live went down the other evening. Nothing. I was able to go into Ghosts and use it for a bit but not back in. Called Microsoft Support
and after 2 hours and 58 minutes of waiting, they told me that they had had a plethora of calls with the same issue. They could not advise Microsoft to add a program but that it had to be done at this level to add something to the game to recognize the purchase
of the download without verifying it through Live. If Live is off line, the game is Off Line. That is what they said. If you detach Live from XB1 and try to fire up Advance Warfare downloaded version, it will not fire up. as it is now. I've tried it 3 days
ago. Was hoping with the Season Pass down load they may fix it. I have the new Tara Byte XB1 Console. It is so new, ya can still smell the new car smell. LOL Please advise me what are my options.?Trying to get bugs out for XMAS for the Boy.

 

Dang, that's not cool. Do you have any other downloaded games that won't play? I know there has been an off-and-on issue of downloaded content not playing.

When was the last time you tried? About 7PM when I started playing, I received an update tonight. Sorry, my suggestions are just ideas at this point, because I have the disc copy, so I can't test it out for ya. But I'm here for you and will do what I can
to help you out!

 

I REALLY appreciate your effort. I got the download and nada. This is the first download and last I received. I get it with the Tara bye console. I'm trying to get it all ready for the boy to use for Xmas. He's Autistic and Mentally Handicapped. Having it
functioning properly no matter what happens is paramount. He understands doo doo does happen. But he gets a bit cantankerous if there are issues like this. I usually will tell him if XBlive is down to play off line. Well not if this is like this. I don't know
what will happen if I buy a regular disc copy to all the add-ons that came with the download that I redeemed too if I delete it to use a disc. I'm almost in a *** point I think. I really do appreciate all you have tried to do. *** I see you points and level
and not sure of the Icons to the right of the level but you must know your stuff. If you might send me in a direction to ask or anything I'd appreciate it. Pass this on to those who might be tempted to get a downloaded version of anything too. I'd advise against
it.

 

I can confidently say that playing the disc version will give you access to all of the same content that was purchased with the downloadable version. At least, that's how it works the other way around - if you buy the disc first, download a bunch of stuff,
and save your game, then buy the digital version, you have access to all of the stuff you downloaded using the disc. The only difference is where the license is located - on your console or on the disc. Given the license problem with Advanced Warfare, I'd
say you SHOULD be able to get the disc & play offline, and keep all your DLC.

Now, my suggestion would be not to buy it first, I'd go to a place like Redbox and just RENT the disc to test and see if our theories hold true! I have a good guess that it WILL work but don't want you to waste the money if I'm wrong.

I understand completely about your son, I'm actually an Instructional Technology Coach and teacher in my day job, and I work closely with a few Autistic students (one I actually identified and helped get diagnosed) so I'm with you. It's imperative to minimize
