The Do's and Don'ts of Xbox Live

Real shame to see some of you dismissing these rules, if everyone followed them more often maybe Xbox LIVE would be a nicer place to play, just a thought

To put it in a nutshell: The more rules we make the more we criminalize the whole of society. That true no matter where we are, or whatever we do. Want proof of it just take a good hard look at the American injustice system. Where if you follow local/state
law, your breaking federal law, and so on and so forth.

I've seen people come to these forums asking. "Why was I banned?" and YOU as well as others post back to them saying for example.. "Evidently you're a cheat, and just don't play well with others otherwise you would not have been banned." As IF a MS decision
to ban someone, is so Godlike that it doesn't merit a reversal.

Yet when put on the spot, you claim. "they make reversals."?? (Not an exact quote, but close) I say PROVE IT. Lets see YOU truly look to "help people" who post that they have been banned, or that their negative rep was unjustified and regardless of the "rules"
seek to help them get the ban reversed, or their rep restored. Or is that simply asking too much of YOU?

Silly argument. The notion that perfection equals accuracy. No one needs to "godlike" to deliver an accurate measure of quality, all we need is to be human.

 

Electroflying, I think there should be a balance with how many rules we have. If we have too many, breaking one will become inevitable; if we have too few, bad things are more likely to happen to good people - the whole thing is a balancing act.

The justice system in the U.S. may not be perfect (largely due to human error and bias), but its far from being an "injustice" system as you put it. If you'd like to discuss this particular topic in more detail, feel free to PM me since it's a much broader
topic than the CoC and rules of XBL and may be considered to be off-topic.

I don't recall ever calling anyone a cheat here on the forums if they asked why they were banned. In almost every case, I would either: [a] link them to the enforcement forums, try to deduce why enforcement action was taken against them based upon their
actions and testimony, and/or [c] give them ideas as to how they might be able to improve their current situation. As for whether they are actually guilty or not, it's not my place to judge them - if they were suspended or banned, judgement by the enforcement
team has already taken place because they found suitable evidence to take action. While the system isn't perfect, I'd say it's still pretty rock solid.

Privacy laws are now very shady and international laws with what data can be shared with other countries is very shady indeed. Facebook admitted having 270 million fake accounts, how many do you think xbox live has!? Which countries are allowed to use your
data against you through trolling and harassing while laws are still unclear?

My point is half of you commenting are shills, employees and genuine online harassers that seem to be protected by Xbox live.

I am harassed every time I turn my Xbox on to play halo 5 online, I have reported and complained thousands of times and spoken to support who play dumb and they do nothing about these shill harassing gamertags.. They have done nothing.

Watch my videos under my gamertag for evidence. Its like they target whoever they want while being protected by Xbox live who should know who is on the network they created and monitor.

 

Oh I don't know, perhaps people that don't want to get banned and then complain on the forums that they got banned for no reason?
