    The DNS sever can't resolve XBox Live names


    This is a persistent problem and I have contacted my ISP and they were not able to fix it what is a problem?

    MurkyNote2, the problem is at the end of your ISP or Local Network (Modem/ Router). The error states pretty much what you need to know, DNS Failure. DNS is Domain Name Server, that is your ISP Connections or your Connection to
    your ISP.

    No, because it's an Xbox 360 and I would need a WiFi adapter to connect wireless and wired is most.of the time better option, I have also run a diagnostic ping test from my router to the Xbox and even though it shows as being connected to the network, the console received the pings but couldn't send them back to the router, it seems there could be a hardware problem.
