The Division beta kinda "Mehhh"

Am I the only on that wasn't really that impressed in The Division so far?

Played the beta a bit and just couldn't get into it at all, despite all the hype

BF3 beta is 100x better than MoH beta.

The Division is the most interesting game that has caught my attention on the Xbox One in a good while

I do agree with the others in that there are plenty of good titles out there for the Xbox One

However, it doesn't matter how good a title is unless the person playing it is actually interested in it LOL

Depends what you call meh, the Beta is just that a beta, its been done to test a lot of aspects about the game, the number of fixes that have been done has been huge, and they fixed glitches and hacks from the closed beta an alpha.

Your getting a very small snap shot of the game, IMO far to little to judge the game, especially if you ttaking the beta out of context, the amount of people complaining their loot did and won't carry over is just silly, its a beta.

It also depends what your looking for, it also plays very well socially, something a lot of people aren't looking for or don't want to take the risk.

Game content is still unknown, IMO the game will depend on this and everything about it is just rumour at present.

 

I played the beta a bit last night. Couldn't really get into it either, but I've never really been a fan of the Tom Clancy games so that may be why.

Had some interesting elements though, I might get it someday when the price drops.

 

I was actually impressed. Graphics are fantastic. Really feels like Manhattan.

 

For me,the game is ok and the gameplay feels good.Not amazing but for a TPS it does the job.

Problems for me is the map.(i know what most will say).But it's not New York city or Manhattan but just a few streets.So yeah,it's small.And it's even smaller because the map is cut in pieces with a level cap for each.At level 30 we'll be left with DZ and
maybe with a level 30 PvE area.That's all until a DLC.

I don't understand why (for a social game) we can't have more than 4 players in the PvE area and why the whole map can't go to level 1 to 30.After that it's you and your luck (and your skills).Missions already got a level cap.It could gives more challenges
and a good opportunity to keep exploring and playing on the full map.

 

We're you playing by yourself? It can be kind of "meh" if you're not playing with other people, or it's just not a game for you.

I played with a group for about 5 hours last night and had a blast.

 

have to agree with the null Zero, it appears to be a game for you and your buddies to play. I need to get into the PVE to see more.

 

The sheer amount of on-screen info actually gave me a headache when I tried it. Too much information overload, if you ask me... Also, the animations (for a beta mind you) didn't seem all that great or smooth.

 

You should look at options.It's possible to disable some stuff from the game hud.(too bad that i can't turn off the trail,i hate those "magical trails" .I can read a map/mini map and use a compass,gdamn devs).

 

I'm really impressed, but to be fair I've been hyped for this game since the inital E3 announcement. Its a great game socially and playing with friends of other players really shows what the game is about.

I'm sure the full launch will be 100% better!! But like I said, I've been hyped for this game for a long time.
