    The death of Rock Band


    Based on the posts I see in here, I get the feeling that I'm one of the only people who still plays rock band. So, I don't see a lot of people complaining about this. But, for the last several weeks, the game has been virtually unplayable.

    I've sat at the initial loading screen for more than 2 hours sometimes. It got so bad that I finally did a complete factory reset last night, including all of my games and apps, as well as the external drive. I reinstalled rock band and all of its DLC and almost immediately the console slows down to a crawl any time I go into My Games and Apps. Keep in mind, all of my content is on the internal drive right now. As I type this, I have been sitting at the loading screen for 25 minutes.

    Can someone from Microsoft please comment on what the issue may be and whether or not there is a workaround. This is the game I play 90% of the time. I have seen others complain about this in the r/rockband subreddit.

    Sorry you used to be able to use you headset as a mic in Rock Band. They changed it in Rock Band 3 for some reason. You can only use a rock band or guitar hero mic on rock band 3. But you can still use it for Rock Band 1,2

    Rock Band 3 has something for every genre of music, even Hip-Hop (ex. The Snoop Dogg track pack).

    If I were you, I would buy Rock Band 3 as well as the first two Rock Band installments (Rock Band and Rock Band 2), so you can export the tracks from the first two installments. Don't worry about the cost. The first two cost roughly $10 together and $15
    to export the songs ($5 [400 MSP] for Rock Band and $10 [800 MSP] for Rock Band 2). You might also consider looking into buying Green Day: Rock Band too.

    If you're still skeptical, look online for the 83 default songs on Rock Band 3. Hope this helped.

    I am not receiving credit for having exported rock band 2 to rock band 3, and therefore cannot upload the songs to rock band 4.
