I understood your point ICN3D... But can't you see that calling people "lackies" is virtually the same thing... Just in reverse?

People should stop pulling out the "troll card"... If we want this garbage to end, as a community, then someone has to make the first move.

Whoever said they are thinking if getting a ps4 because of deadzone will be sadly disappointed. I've played ghost on my x1 and ps4. It def feels a little more comfortable on the x1. Its the game and the complaints should be at IW. It feels not quite right
on ps4 and x1 both. Titanfall I agree feels the best when playing.

 

Oh... Yes... That's another thing...

People in a few cases I've seen, blame MS for issues that should be directed at the Devs... Like in this case. The OP called MS out on it, but technically it's not their issue to fix. I'm not being a Microsoft apologist, just a realist.

In cases like these, I think it's totally ok to point out that it's not Microsoft's fault... That's not being a "lackie".

 

You're right. This isn't an MS thing...it's a dev thing....so he in actuality could very well be a troll.

Like I said though, "troll" gets used a lot and I focused on that....but I only used "fanboys" and "lackies" after I got sick of being called a troll.

So for a good bit...I didn't indulge.

 

I think everyone who reads this should make a decision.

Are we as a community going to stand up together and stop using terms like "troll" and "fanboy" ???

If so, there has to be zero tolerance standard that is upheld by all community members, and called out when terms such as these are used.

There needs to be a sticky or something that people that can show their commitment to improving things around here by agreeing to stop using these terms, and having input to discourage those terms being used without being derogatory themselves.

Maybe I'm just being idealistic... But we the community members have to take ownership of this if we want things to change. It's not just up to the mods, it's up to us all.

I wouldn't even say he was a troll, some people may not understand that it is a Devs responsibility to resolve bugs, some may only understand to the point of, it works on A console, but not on B console, so it must be the manufacturer of B consoles fault.

But raging and calling people names does not help.

 

So is this a call of duty thing? I didn't play it enough to remember. Its non existent in titanfall and bf4

 

I messed about with the control pad in Battlefield 4 last night and this issue didn't exist for me. Was perfect. Must be COD specific as I don't have this issue in any other game I've tried.

 

I completely agree. I notice this on Shadow of Mordor (Windows 7 64-bit). It's an excessive amount of dead zone. I also compared this with my xbox 360 controller. The dead zone on the xbox 360 is smaller (better) than on the xbox one controller. And the
360 controller I tested is brand new (less than one hour of use).

 

The OP is right that there is too much deadzone. I don't think it is that small an issue. I think it makes the controller feel way worse and less precise than the 360 controller. Maybe it's not a problem on certain games but it's poor on Advanced warfare.
It was changed for Titan fall (which now works perfectly) so obviously the devs of that game thought it was an issue just like OP.

I wish each game would allow you to set your own level of deadzone.

 

The Dead Zone only really feels to be an issue on some games...

COD Advanced Warfare feels the worst so far.

The Dead Zone on Destiny is very slight, and it's almost unnoticeable on Shadow of Mordor.

I'm a hugely competitive COD player but I can't complete with the current dead zone. It's really a huge issue.

Please fix this

 

this is an issue us pc gamers hate about consoles and a lot of us refuse to play FPS for that reason. you wont find me playing CoD, BFxxxx(insert number EA will release and keep releasing) or Halo. im more of a twitcher, so I do notice the lack of reaction.
that .01 second delay to me is like 30 seconds.
