    My pains

The dead zone is an area in the middle where the wheel is considered to be not turning at all. If there was no dead zone, you would have to return the wheel to the EXACT center to stop your car from turning to either size; a dead zone lets you return it
to close to the middle. If the dead zone is too large, then you have to turn the wheel a lot before your car actually starts to turn.

I found this a while back and found it helpful. Just thought I would post it up for others to try out.

    Steering axis deadzone inside: 0%-2%

    Steering axis deadzone outside: 70-75%

comment: steering speed almost matches controller

    Brake deadzone inside: 0%

    Brake deadzone outside: 100%

    Throttle - the same

comment: immediate reaction to any feet movement, even slight touch. Kicking throttle doesn't brake traction as with usual inside:15, outside 90.

Brakes depend highly on car, but with 0%/100% you get highest possible feeling.

    Force Feedback Scale: 25%

comment: As force feedback only slows you down, 25% is enough to both have fun _and_ have decent lap times. YMMV.

    Vibration Scale: 60%

comment: understanding vibration signals is what makes you alot faster than with controller as one quickly understands if suspesion is too stiff, or when tires are on the edge of traction. The higher the better, 60% is enough for me.

Ha ha. If you go to the doctors they will give you something for your disorder. And "liking" your own post doesn't make it popular.

I've adjusted to playing Rocksmith with severe lag do to HDMI, so I can definitely live with dead zones on the controller...

  9. ^ Agreed. Off with their heads!

OP, some people really don't care and that's fine. People in life will like/care about different things to you.

  12. This is something for the developers to sort out really. It's like Killzone having a slight latency in control on the PS3, that was down to the developers, not the control pad.

I'll have a play around later on Battlefield 4, but honestly I've never really sat there and thought "man this deadzone is really off" in any game other than COD: Ghosts. That's the only game where I've really hated the way it feels to control.

I put this down to game developers rather than the hardware, though I do acknowledge that Respawn helped Microsoft to tweak the controller to make aiming better for Titanfall. I think that developers should be able to tweak the controls of their games to
suit how the hardware works, after all, it's hardly something that's hard to do with a control, pad emulator on a PC.

I have noticed that dead zone. When I need to aim 2 feet to the left to shoot an opponent I press slightly left and it doesn't move....then I press harder and I fly by the enemy. It doesn't affect every gun fight, but if you play alot and have pretty solid
accuracy you have definitely noticed this.

  15. So we all agree that this is an actual issue. Yet some people don't even want to consider getting it fixed because "it's not a big deal" or "I got used to it". That makes absolutely no sense. Either there is an issue or there isn't. The dead zone on the
controller IS an issue. Remember how insignificant the "this friend is online" pop up was? And yet they made an update that added it back. It shouldn't matter how small the issue is to someone. Issues need to be fixed regardless. If everyone would stop being
so cool and blowing things like this off, because they are so pro and can deal with it, then the XBOne experience would be so much better for everyone.
