the current profile is not allowed to play on xbox live

Having spent over 48 hours waiting still can't get on xbox live. Have switched off more than once, have downloaded profile as suggested more than once. When on xbox.com can't even access support as asks for first name and surname but won't allow me to
type thes in on screen. Frustrated! Help needed

You need a gold subscription in order to play online. You're showing as silver here. If you recently add a subscription you may want to verify that it was added correctly at
Sign in to your Microsoft account If it shows correctly, or shows any errors, you'll want to contact support. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or
support.xbox.com/contact-us (you can verify your account info at
http://account.live.com so it will auto fill the correct name for you).

 

Thanks for info but bought gold membership and when i go onto suuport,xbox.com it won't let me type in first name or surname so it won't allow me to submit chat. Can't see where I can submit problem with account.live.com. Could my activation code have
been compromised as it let me play for one night.

 

There was a free gold weekend this past weekend which could have made it look like your code had been activated properly when it may not have been. As I said, you should be able to see if it was activated at
Sign in to your Microsoft account If it does show an active subscription you will have to contact support.

If you're not in the US/Canada I can get you a number if you let me know which region you're in. Otherwise, you'll need to make sure your information is correct at account.live.com (you can't submit the problem there) because that is what auto-fills your
name if you're trying chat support.

 

Thank you so much, am back on line. Checked as you said and it had not listed my purchase. It did not activate code so put in code again and this time it did not say this has been already used hurrah. Thanks again very happy gamer!
