The Crew tells me to buy it.

In June this year I downloaded The Crew from the Games with Gold section. Now it's telling me that my trial is over and I must pay for it. I've contacted Support who looked into it and can't help. So they passed it "Up" and I was told that I would receive
an email regarding this within 48 hours. Well that time has come and gone and still nothing from them, so I contacted support again and they just told me to keep checking my emails. What a waste of time, 2hrs on chat with them and no help what so ever.

Tells me to buy when i already have it!

I recently bought a 1 month subscription from the Xbox store and shows that I have the Xbox live in the main menu, and settings>subsciptions, but it whenever I join a party of play online, it tells me to buy it, and shows me to the store I just bought it
off!

Maybe its just me but all these car shows everywhere? I just dont get it. Perhaps someone can tell me how this is fun? How is it run as my crew has had some interest in doing one of these as a crew event.

 

Do you still have an xbox live gold subscription? Xbox one games only stay in your library as yours while you have an active xbox live gold subscription.

Contact xbox and go through your purchase history with them they should be able to see on your history that you have owned the game sometimes when games with gold come out if they are downloaded on a specific account they wont be accessible later on down
the line it has happened to me before hope you can get it sorted thank you.

 

Finally got an email from support, however it had nothing whatsoever to do with my original problem, waste of time. So this time (the 4th attempt) I thought that I would telephone support, I really wish I hadn't bothered, the person I spoke to could barely
speak English and when he spoke he just mumbled. Anyway after constantly repeating myself and explaining the problem he just couldn't help at all. Now I've given up even trying, now I know what a number of my friends were complaining about when they dumped
their XBone and moved to PS4, not that I'm sure they are any better, they certainly couldn't be any worse than MS support.

I've wasted best part of a week and 4 attempts to resolve this and what a waste of time, MS is, at their very best - USELESS.

 

Sorry to hear it, RustyBucket21. I suggest replying back to the email you were sent to continue troubleshooting the issue. I understand this is a frustrating issue, but it looks like this was escalated to a higher tier.

Thanks Beep but I've given up MS support, they don't even know why I contacted them. Even though I've told them the problem countless times. I did reply to the email before using phone support and after that fiasco I won't ever contact support again, complete
waste of time.

 

did you try uninstalling it and reinstalling the game thats how i fixed the problem in the past

you still need gold to play games with gold even after purchesing

 

Double check your game, make sure you didn't accidentally download the gold trial when you got it during the time it was out for Game With Gold. I know it is listed there as an option even when it is there as Games for Gold. If you did, then unfortunately
would have to purchase the game to continue to play it.

 

Unfortunately, I think DrunkenAcid might be correct on this one. If you happened to download the Xbox One or 360 Trial instead of the full game that would definitely cause that problem and give you that specific error message. Someone mentioned checking
your Microsoft account to see if it was in your purchase history. The problem with that is that Games for Gold games (or any Free to Play games) don't show up in your purchase history.
