Ubisoft has today announced that The Crew second closed beta will take place from November 6th to November 10th on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Players willing to get involved in the beta can register on the waiting list here.

The Crew Delayed

The Crew now has a release date of Dec. 2nd.

It was originally supposed to release on November 11th, along with The Master Chief Collection and Assassin's Creed Unity. (Probably wasn't a good idea to begin with)

A second closed beta is also coming.

Why I didn't think the first beta was bad but it didn't really grab me so I'm hoping ( if I'm lucky and get into this one ) this one will peak my interest.

 

Received an email last night saying I've got in, starts this Thursday & finishes Monday, Hopefully they've improved it from the last one as this will decide whether i keep my pre-order or not.

As for driving with you two above, not sure someone with my supreme driving skills should associate with riff raff like you.

Went into this not expecting much after experience with the last beta but absolutely loved every second of it, well me and Mr Artful Codger played 4 hours straight on it.

Absolutely HUGE area to explore, gameplay/handling it reminded me of the old ( and best in my opinion ) Need for Speed games, just simple but great fun to play especially in co-op.

There were a few server issues, both of us got booted a few times, luckily getting back in wasn't a problem, puts you straight back into your co-op Crew and you don't lose any progress, well if you got booted during an event you have to replay it. Hopefully
the full game will be more stable!

I think the real shame though is already the comments I'm seeing on Twitter, loads of people's first comments are "Graphics" some have even said they didn't bother trying any events/missions once they saw the visuals! Sure it wouldn't look out of place on
the Xbox 360 and being honest I hope the full game looks a little crisper but even if it doesn't improve it won't stop me buying day one for the amount of fun it was to play.

^Bang on assessment there old bean, I enjoyed the last beta hence why I pre-ordered it but playing it in co-op today was great. Really looking forward to it now.

Seriously though, I really can't wait for this now! Like I said though and sure not everyone will enjoy it regardless but I think alot will judge it just by the visuals but hey ho!

 

Watched a buddy of mine playing this on his Twitch Stream.

What a forgettable game.

It's a bit like "GTA: IV" but without people.

Right down to people nagging you to give them lifts.

"DJ Big Tig", possibly the most annoying voice in Gaming History seems to make a re-appearance as "Troy".

Don't just take my word for it.

You have Twitch available to you on your own XBoxes or PC's. You have other mediums to view gameplay.

Vast empty cities with no people make for a soulless and dull experience. The game occasionally threw in a few people to gasp and jump out of the way of my buddy's car but otherwise the game is a void where Aliens have abducted 99.5% of the population.

There are no people but there are tons of cars. Presumeably controlled by Google driving programs because they never deviate from their lanes despite you wildly barging your way through traffic. No reaction to you as the player.

With the offroad sections you could possibly compare this to "Forza: Horizon 2" but without decent graphics or fun.

Rubbish.

Somebody is getting fired over this game.
