  2. I'm very interested in the game now, but with Ubisoft's track record, I don't expect to see the game in Fall 2014.

  3. They've never let themselves down when it comes to releasing an Assassin's Creed game right before Christmas every year without fail. Don't see why they should stop raking in our holiday cash now, even if it does mean putting out an unfinished game.

    This game does look pretty cool but with the added cost of MT's and DLC I would need to know what advantage other players will have before considering a purchase. I can live with added skins / maps ect... but if I sniff a hint that someone will have a better
    faster car than those who don't invest in DLC, its a no buy for me. Which would be a shame :/

    I see MT's this way... If you don't want to use them... Don't.

    Gather your friends who are going to get the game, agree to play it without using MT's, stick to your group and just enjoy it.

    If you come across other groups who have bought their way to better rides... Chances are that because you earned them, you'll be better... Consider it a challenge.

  6. As long as the game allows me to buy the same items via in game and it won't take a hideous amount of time to get them, I have no issue.

    I played one microtransaction game recently where you could buy things with the in game currency or just buy with your wallet. What really stunk was the fact that it took months to accumulate the amount of in game currency to get things that you could just
    out right pay with real money for.

    I have no issues playing the game and putting the time in in order to buy things in game, so long the time investment is not crazy large in comparison to real money purchase.

  7. I'm inclined to agree with Spark in regards to balance between grinding to unlock something vs. an outright purchase.

    Spark, I completely agree with you there. I'd more than happily spend gaming time than real world money/ It's all too common to make a 100 hour bonus cost just 99p as a MT but I see it as more of a principle thing and a few tiny purchases can soon add up.
    10 small 99p MicroTransactions are just short of £10 and suddenly you've paid for 1/4 of the game all over again!

  9. I'll tell you 1 thing I don't like - spending real money for in-game XP. A good example of this is Forza Motorsport 5. With it you can spend real money for tokens and then use those tokens for double XP for a limited amount of time. I've played that game
    for hours on end and am only level 30-something. I go online and I see people that are level 400+. I always wondered how they got that high... Now I know, and it's very disappointing, because there's no other way to actually earn that double XP and that, IMO,
    is completely unfair. Now, you might tell me that it's just additional levels, after all what good will it do? Well, it gets them more in-game credits faster so they can purchase and use more cars which gives them more choices to choose from and as a result,
    an inherent advantage. This system IS without a doubt, a broken system.

    I wish they kept the setup from FM4 - that worked out nicely.

  10. A very good point there xeno. I just have a lot of gripe with added costs and additional content. Especially content that's locked on the disk. Either way, you make a fair statement there mate.

    Spark, I agree. Infact I don't mind that concept at all. Playing to unlock the same content that you can bypass playing via purchasing MT's makes it at least fair. It just sucks when (like pointed out) it takes far too long to unlock them via play.

  11. @GG, I share your concerns of XP boosting for this with a bigger wallet but just to assure you slightly, Forza is actually very easy to gain levels IF you put the hours in. I've put my fair share of time in to the game and have reached level 100 with only
    about half of the career races done. If a pure Forza addict has been playing since day 1, level 400 is no great accomplishment.

    @GG, I share your concerns of XP boosting for this with a bigger wallet but just to assure you slightly, Forza is actually very easy to gain levels IF you put the hours in. I've put my fair share of time in to the game and have reached level 100 with only
    about half of the career races done. If a pure Forza addict has been playing since day 1, level 400 is no great accomplishment.
