The update completely killed my controller

 

Im in the preview and today console update is working for bricked controller!!!!!

 

My controller came back to life hahah

My Control wireless xbox one

Version firmware: 1.2.2236.0

all updated correctly.

Even so, I have the same problem as other members of the xbox one console.

We only ask due attention to the case and respect for their customers.

Speaks on behalf of all users, which we look forward and frustrated by the size of this disorder.

In my view only just developers launch a new update to fix this error. And everything returns to normal.

My [Mod Removed] is still bricked.... I was told I would get an email in a week... it's getting there. Still no fix though??? Thanks Microsoft.

Stop asking for our version info, you know [Mod Removed] well they're up to date AND that you bricked us...

I actually went in and chatted with Xbox support. They are shipping me a new controller within the next 3-5 days and I don't have to send my bricked controller back. Thanks MS!

 

I really hate xbox at times

 

No help from support unless:

1) your controller came with the console and it is less than one year old

2) you bought your controller and it is less than 90 days old

I just spent 28 minutes with Joseph in chat (ref #1279708324) and he cannot do anything to help. Their official position is that the update does not cause controllers to stop working.

My answer is to buy 2 new controllers to replace the bricks.

I have a white Titanfall and 2 plain black controllers. I updated all 3 at the same time, but now my Titanfall controller and one black controller won't do anything other than turn the machine on via the "X" button, and if you hold the X button down it only
asks if I want to turn the Xbox off (not the controller), and no other buttons work except for the "X" button, unless I connect to usb.

It really is upsetting that support pretends this isn't happening. I doubt I will buy controllers. That money could go towards a PS4 with the xbox trade in. I love the xbox, but if they won't even admit there is a problem, I don't see this relationship continuing.

I can not understand that this support is that everybody comes here and asks and so far have not seen any results, I'm waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting ... to infinity and beyond ... I've tried all the available support, by company microsoft,
(online Chat, Phone, international forum) and so far nothing.

Only emphasize that those requesting support is the minority of customers who have experienced problems with this update.

Waiting forward to a Microsoft business solution!

 

I up dated my controller the other day and all was fine, now the problem is this the controller will turn the xbox on but the analog sticks will not work or even any off the buttons un less I plug in the usb cable and everything works fine I have done a
hard reset on the xbox and even re connected the controller with the xbox, at first I thought it was the batteries being low so I changes them for brand new batteries but still no joy, when the guide button is pressed it only shows turn console off and not
turn controller off un less I use the usb cable and it shows both console and controller off any ideas as to what I can do next..ps I have 2 controllers and the other one that also has been updated works fine wireless....

 

Same problem here. Controller is UnResponsive unless using it USB attached. Wireless isn't working. Holding the jewel button shows the shut down console menu but nothing about the controller itself as if it wasn't connected.

 

I forgot to mention in my previous reply that my update went fine on my controller. When it went idle and I turned it back on it was now a brick, only the center button worked, same problem everyone else has. I called support, no joy, not our problem. So
now I'm paranoid the other 2 controllers will do the same if allowed to go idle
