    So I got an xbox at the start if quarantine and the controller that came with it is supposed to be wireless. The controller came with batteries that I assume were charged. I went to turn it on (not plugged in) and it wouldn't turn on, so I assumed the
    problem was the batteries that came with the controller. So I put in brand new batteries to see if it would turn on and it still wouldn't. I decided to plug it in to see if it would work and it did, but immediately after I unplugged it, the controller would
    turn off and I'd get a notification on my screen saying something like "please reconnect wireless xbox one controlled" and it would only turn back on when I plug it back in. How do I get it to turn on wirelessly?

    I'm assuming the light in the middle of the controller is turning off? If so that would indicate your batteries are dead. If it works when plugged in, and is not working with brand new out of package batteries that are working on other items, it may be a
    defective controller itself.

    If this was a new console, you could attempt and exchange with where you purchased it.

    I agree that it is possibly a defect with the controller. I would contact Xbox support as you are still under warranty.

    Maybe,possibly try re-syncing that contoller? It has probably just unsynced randomly :)

    Could be a defects in the controller even if you plunged it in yes will work 100% at same time battery terminals could be problem to where the battery is not making contact with it..

    or just return it and get new one save your self stress

    I know your controller is wireless, but there should (not 100% sure, my xbox came with one) but there should be a chord that has USB on one end and something that plugs into the controller on the other end to charge a battery pack controller/turn a wireless
