The console updates on my XBOX One S has to be acknowledged manually to apply.

Clear your console cache three times in a row and apply the update manually with a USB. Apply the update while offline and after this connect to xbox live.

I had that issue, and the fact that it wouldn't stay on Instant On. Reset it keeping games and apps, then applied the update manually via usb. Problem solved. Think the migration of my account and games confused the *** out of it going from the one to
the S.

differnt issue pc doesnt even see the xbox one. i have tried manually with ip of console and it refuses to acknowledge its there. i can see it on the network via my pc. tried reinstalling app and reset both console and pc but nothing changes.

Seems like there is a growing trend of "open tray" errors that Microsoft are refusing to acknowledge and are saying it's just a coincidence that the problem has occurred after this latest update. I refuse to pay Microsoft £75 for a repair when my console
worked before the update.

and in reply to Mister Fitzer NO I have not modified my console or had an unauthorised repair - my xbox is the replacement sent to me in April 2009 by yourselves after the last one suffered a RRoD failure, something else Microsoft failed to acknowledge
at first!!!
