The bumper buttons

Should I turn the Xo controller in, or just stick with it.

I fear I might get a worse controller. It is just pretty annoying in Dead Rising 3, where I press the button down and it doesnt register it so I have to push it harder.

 

I can see that it is a really common faulty when I search for it on the internet.

 

I know plenty of people already know this, the bumpers on the X1 are quite different to the 360 and work better if pressed on the edge diagonally, if you press straight down on them they don't work so well.

 

Goatsnatcher, thanks for your reply. But if you have read my previous posts you would know that this is not the problem.

My RB works just fine, click and everything. My LB barely makes a sound, and only reacts when pushed hard down. My RB is very sensitive, while my LB makes allmost no sound and has to be pushed hard to react.

On my other controller it is the opposite button.

 

Be sure that I read your post. It's just that I know the controllers shoulder button's can feel odd compared to other controller's. I tend to have My left hand slightly higher than My right hand, so my left index finger goes over the shoulder button more
on the left, this caused me to have issue's at first until I got used to it.

If it's faulty though, I would probably send it back before it get's worse. The X1 controller is incredibly cheap feeling compared to the 360 controller's. I'd personally like to see the quality get a lot better in the future.

 

If I click equally on the rb and the lb, the one bumper says a click while the other doesnt. The RB says a click instantly when I press it and it reacts at once.

However, the LB doesnt say click, and only reacts when I press the button completely down. I f I lift my finger a little bit, the button slips.

 

I will return the one of the controllers to see what will happen.

 

Don't have this issue with the bumpers, but I did have a creaking Controller Case on the underside join. After a battle with MS they sent me a new Day One that works great.

I'd keep taking it back until I got a perfect working controller. Accept nothing less.

 

My day one is the same way the right side bumper is fine firm click and works well but the left side bumper there is no sound and feels off. I know it doesn't work the best I notice it most in games like Ghosts where I cook a 9 bang and then it just random
throws it half cooked even though firm pressure is on the bumper. My sons controller I bought at Christmas is very different feel on both bumpers then my Day One controller.

I never thought to return it at all I don't use the left bumper much except in Ghosts. Too late now... Figure I'll buy a new White controller when they are out.

 

the controller is under a year warranty as well..you can still send it back.

 

will see if they can do an advanced replacement for me.... Thanks for the info.

Yes the OP should return the goods until a satisfactory replacement is obtained whilst under warranty.

 

So, I bought a new controller so I could send the defective back. And guess what.

The bumpers on it is perfect. However, the left stick makes alot of friction when moving the controller up and down. Is it impossible to get a working Xbox One Controller seriously?
