The awful quality of xbox controllers

The price and quality of xbox controllers are horrendous. I bought a volcanic ash controller from Amazon and within 6 months the bumpers have already started to become unresponsive. They're already way too expensive for what they are but common the buld
quality is trash. A lot of my friends were having the same problem and was just wondering if anyone else was too?

Why are Xbox One controllers so poorly built?

Yes I also made a very long discussion post. About this same quality of controllers being made for the Xbox and quality is very poor especially for the cost of controllers!

We all need to keep discussions of this nature going so it's not swept under the rug by other topics

 

Indie Games priced from 80 MSP to 240 MSP aren't worth it.

The problem is that the games are awful and then kind of feel ripped off, because for the same price I could buy an Xbox/PS2 quality game.

 

I've had controllers literally last 4 or more years before they start to wear at all. Are you being extra rough with them? (Honest question lol)

 

My controllers last about 2 years now. I used to be extra rough on the and even slammed a few breaking them into pieces ! Haha Luckily I’ve grown and learned to keep it cool. I use a wired afterglow controller because I don’t like having to change batteries.
Very nice controllers. Can’t say I have used the specific controller that you are using but many factors effect lifetime of a controller. ( Hard button presses, eating food while playing, etc.) sorry you are having trouble though .

 

I get a few years out of the standard controllers and I think they are good. The Elite controller quality is a different issue. They are very poorly made and will fail within a year.

 

Mine works no problem so far, hope it will be lasting at least 3 years or so.

I don't throw my controllers or anything like that. I play a lot of games where the spammable abilities are set to the bumpers and that seems to really destory them.

 

Which region are you in. Controllers have a 90 day warranty in the US and Canada however they have a 12 month warranty in the UK.

If you are lucky enough to be in the UK you can have the controller replaced
