The Auto-Renew Plot

It’s been recently brought to my attention that Microsoft has done nothing about their system of forcing the activation of the Auto-Renew feature when purchasing a subscription. To make matters worse customers are not able to turn
this feature off through simple means of their Console settings but instead customers have to login to their account through a web browser or get in contact with support to disable this feature. This may provide an inconvience to gaming customers as their
accounts maybe unwillingly charged sometimes resulting in fees.

I would like to hear what the Xbox community thinks about this as gamers on other forms take this very seriously.

I canceled my auto renew and xbox still charged my card

I turned my auto renew off last year and xbox keeps charging my card to auto renew. Any one ever have the same issue?

 

It is a super secret one world government conspiracy by Xbox/Microsoft to commit the whole world to a monthly subscription for Xbox Live...

Even better, you could just buy prepaid gold cards and not have to worry about it at all.

 

Great advice, as for the first comment the latter has been discussed in the original post. The Topic is about inconvience not conspiracy. Lay off the Si-Fi. But I digress the comments of the few show that consumer doesn’t care.

 

This discussion has taught me quite a lot. Also with the superb help of MS Support I was able to know what options I have as a customer. They were extremely patient and helpful in solving what issues I myself had on the topic and with the knowledge gained
I feel confident enough to pass on this information to fellow customers and gamers. Thank you.
