    The audio coming from my Xbox is weird/broken


    Hi, i use an envy 23 all in one desktop to plau on my xbox using the HDMI output. Recently i bought speakers and they work when im in desktop mode but when i switch to HDMI/Game mode the audio breaks completly(unless i plug headphones into my controller). What should i do? In setting>General>Volume and Audio output>Speaker Audio i can turn the HDMI audio off which stops all sound or i can turn to stereo uncompressed which plays the broken audio(5.1 uncompressed, 7.1 uncompressed and Bitstream out dont work, i get error 0x80bd0009). What should i do to fix this?

    Another headset adaptor issue

    I have a similar problem. It appears to possibly be a broken chat lead, as I checked it with my Xbox 360, with chat audio just coming through the mic, and found that I could not hear chat audio through it still, but people could hear me.

    Xbox one update has caused headset transmitter not to work!!!!!!

    after the latest updates my turtles beaches are acting weird also, but mine are the xo 7's and plug into the controller, no audio unless i keep pressing the audio effect button multiple times then the audio comes on, if the controllers go off then the same
    thing happens. seems these updates are not nice to turtle beach.

    Optical Audio....stereo uncompressed

    Bitstream Format....off

    This afternoon using the Trittons I got audio from a chat buddy, but no game play sound. So weird. Maybe it is a loose connection someplace after all.

    One of the controllers gives an error message that says "no microphone detected", so that one is broken somehow.

    I'll play around with this issue a bit and post again once I have some more info. Thank you!!

    Is there a known issue with headsets and mics on Xbox one today. We've tried all the troubleshooting but nothing works

    ok, that's weird. look under Settings and then Video & Audio. There's the option to optimize the sound for headsets. turn it on or off. maybe you'll hear something. can you connect another headset to the controller? just to make sure the controller isn't
    broken after all.
